Four months have gone by since the start of The All New Getting Along in Japanese, and in those four months, we have presented you with a wide variety of expressions I hope that you feel comfortable using them all now
Anna, the heroine of our skits, has earned the complete trust of her boss at work and has
been charged with such tasks as ordering supplies and scheduling parties for regular customers She has become accustomed to living with her mother-in-law, and she will begin to assert her own opinions more firmly She has also started attending the meetings of her local neighbor- hood association
In February and March, you will learn how to make requests and proposals, disagree, ex- press happiness, pass along things you have heard, and confirm information The basic and
advanced skits for each of these situations will teach you how to vary the expressions you use depending on who your listener is The already popular “Kanji in Daily Life” and “Word of the Day” segments should also prove to be even more enjoyable and useful than ever
