Ss make sentences with Comparatives + Superlatives:

Tam 1m60 tallest Hue 380C

Set the scene:

Model Sentences: The apartment at No 27 is good But,

The apartment at No.40 is better It’s more expensive

The apartment at No.79 is the best It’s the most expensive

Concept checking:

+ When we compare 2 things / people, do we use comparative or superlative? (Comparative)

+ When we compare 3 or more things / people, do we use comparative

or superlative? (Superlative)

+ Can we say No.40 is gooder than No.27 ? (No)

Why? ( Better, not gooder, it’s an Irregular comparative)

+ And superlative of Good? (The Best)

+ Can we say Expensiver? (No)

What can we say? (More expensive)

+ Why? (It’s a longer adj of 3 or more syllables)

+ And What’s its superlative form? (The most expensive)

3.Practice:

Picture - Cue - Drill: Language Focus 1: 5 P.39 - 40

Ss make comparative sentences to compare A + B;

then superlative for c and (A + B - C)

Nb: Ss do the matching 1st a- cheap d- good

b- expensive e- strong

Example exchange: S1: B is [cheaper] than A

S2: But C is the [cheapest]
