I Aim: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to know popular sports in America Skills

four skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing

II Language contents:

(n) Baseball, Skate-boarding, Roller-skating, Roller-skating

 Let them look at the pictures indicating

sports

 Ask whether some of them play any of the

sports in the pictures

 Tell them the content of the reading they

are going to listen and read

 Name 10 sports which are the most

popular that the young in America love to

play

 Let students listen to the cassette twice

 Ask them to read by themselves

 Call some students and ask them to tell

the name of some sports listed in the

reading

-T says “playing sports is one of the most

popular freetime activies around the world In

this lesson and in the following ones we will

learn about this topic

-T asks Ss

-T presents some pictures and asks Ss

-T explains new words from some pictures

-Ss give the meaning of these words

-Ss practice (choral and individual)

-T checks (slab the board)

 Have some of the students do some

actions illustrating some sports to attract

their attention more, and then ask others

to guess what they are

 Ask students if they know how to play any

of these 10 sports

 Let them practice in pairs, asking and

answering the questions given

 Call some pairs to drill before class,

correct if there are any mistakes

 Ask them to take notes

-These above are 5 among 10 sports which

American teenagers like most Can you guess

Now you base on the law of the changing adverb and adjective you complete the adjective in the brackets to adverbs:
