The English subject plays an important role in equipping high school students with essential skills for future integration and development Not only is English a communication tool, but it also serves as the key to accessing global knowledge, helping students engage with academic materials, participate in scientific research, and broaden career opportunities In the context of globalization, proficiency in English becomes a competitive advantage, contributing significantly to success in fields such as economics, science and technology, culture, and the arts Therefore, building a strong foundation in English at the high school level is crucial for the comprehensive development of students
However, teaching and learning English in high schools today face several challenges Students at this age often lack motivation, easily lose interest, or find it difficult to learn grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills Traditional teaching methods sometimes lack creativity and interaction to sustain interest and encourage students to engage in the learning process Moreover, the ability to apply knowledge in practice, especially in communication, remains a significant challenge for students For this reason, renewing teaching methods and integrating technology into English learning is an urgent necessity
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a valuable tool in education, addressing many of the problems that teachers and students face AI has the ability
to personalize the learning process, creating exercises and learning content tailored
to each student, thus helping them learn English more effectively AI applications can assist with voice recognition, grammar analysis, and provide instant feedback, thereby improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in a flexible and dynamic way AI not only helps students learn independently but also creates engaging and interesting lessons, sparking enthusiasm for learning English
The textbook series Global Success 10 is one of the popular English teaching
resources in high schools With its well-organized lesson structure, this series not only provides grammar and vocabulary knowledge but also emphasizes the development of comprehensive language skills through reading, listening, speaking,
and writing exercises A unique feature of Global Success 10 is its compatibility
with technology, especially AI, to create a flexible, engaging, and effective learning environment AI can assist students in practicing language skills through interactive exercises, instant feedback, and improvement in areas such as pronunciation, listening comprehension, writing, and communication
Based on these insights and analysis, I have decided to undertake the project

Principles for Applying AI in Teaching: When applying AI in teaching,
certain fundamental principles must be followed to ensure that the use of this technology optimizes learning outcomes for students These principles include:
o Supporting Lifelong Learning: AI tools can be used not only during lessons but also to support students' self-learning at home, helping them maintain continuous learning anytime and anywhere
o Creating an Interactive Learning Environment: AI can help create exercises, educational games, or simulation scenarios that engage students in an interactive and dynamic learning process
o Ensuring Fairness and Inclusivity: AI can detect the challenges students face, providing individualized learning approaches tailored to each student, ensuring that every student has an opportunity to excel

II Practical Basis
Traditional teaching methods in high school English often rely on conventional teaching approaches and simple learning tools These methods primarily focus on teaching grammar, vocabulary, and basic skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing However, these approaches still have many limitations, especially in maintaining students' interest and motivation for learning
Advantages
+ Traditional teaching methods have been widely applied and are familiar to both teachers and students, making it easier for students to understand and adapt to the curriculum
+ These methods help students master basic knowledge of grammar,
vocabulary, and sentence structures, laying a strong foundation for language learning
+ Traditional methods require students to maintain discipline in their studies, regularly complete homework assignments, and participate in group learning activities, helping them develop self-learning skills and work independently
Disadvantages
+Traditional teaching methods often lack innovation and creativity, which can make students feel bored and lack motivation to learn The lessons are mainly based
on textbooks and theoretical content, which do not provide engaging interactions
+ These methods cannot be adjusted flexibly to meet the learning needs and levels of individual students Each student has a different learning pace and needs, but teachers often have to apply a one-size-fits-all approach
+ Although students learn grammar and vocabulary, traditional methods focus less on developing practical communication skills, especially speaking and listening

of high school students at Kim lien high school, including classes: 10A2, 10A3, 10C1, 10C4 The results are as follows:

The survey results before the research project show that students face many challenges in using English flexibly and confidently Specifically, only 15% of students apply appropriate vocabulary in communication, 20% are able to use vocabulary and grammar correctly in short writing tasks, and only 18% of students are confident when presenting opinions in discussions Reading and listening comprehension abilities are also low, at 21% and 19%, respectively, reflecting limitations in absorbing and understanding the content of texts and listening exercises These numbers clearly indicate that traditional teaching methods are not effective enough to promote students' confidence and ability to use English

The relationship between the proposed measures and solutions in this study is one of coordination and mutual support, aimed at creating an effective and engaging English learning environment for 10th-grade students AI application measures, such
as integrating ChatGPT, Coggle, Notion AI, and Gamma AI, not only help students improve their language skills but also assist teachers in designing creative lessons that cater to students' learning needs Each measure plays an important role in enhancing listening, speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary skills, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of students' English learning abilities
2 Specific Measures and Solutions
Measure 1: Analyzing the Curriculum Content and Planning for AI Software Integration
Trang 10The objective of this measure is to develop a detailed plan for integrating artificial intelligence (AI) software into 10th-grade English instruction, thereby improving students' learning outcomes A thorough analysis of the curriculum content helps identify AI software suitable for each topic and skill that needs to be developed The goal is to enable students to engage with modern learning tools that personalize their learning process, thereby improving their listening, speaking, reading, writing skills, and boosting their confidence in communicating in English
2.1.2 Content
To effectively integrate AI technology into 10th-grade English instruction
based on the Global Success 10 textbook, the process will be divided into three main
steps First, analyze the curriculum, including topics such as vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and writing, to assess the relevance of each topic to AI integration and to understand the challenges students encounter Next, select appropriate AI software for each skill and lesson content, such as Notion AI and ChatGPT for vocabulary and grammar, Gemini AI for listening practice, Coggle for mind maps, and Gamma AI for presentations and writing tasks Finally, a detailed weekly plan for integrating AI into lessons will be created, including AI-based activities that encourage active participation and provide immediate feedback, thereby improving learning effectiveness
2.2.3 Procedure
To effectively integrate AI technology into 10th-grade English instruction
based on the Global Success 10 textbook, the implementation process will proceed
as follows:

The topics in the textbook include Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, Listening, and Writing I will analyze each topic to evaluate how suitable it is for AI integration into learning I will also assess the extent to which each topic aligns with AI technology integration Additionally, I will examine the difficulties students face when learning vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and communication

The purpose of this measure is to help students systematize and memorize vocabulary by topic effectively using ChatGPT and Coggle ChatGPT will assist students in generating vocabulary lists tailored to each topic, while Coggle will help create mind maps (Blankmindmap) that visually demonstrate the relationship between words and knowledge Integrating these tools will promote an interactive and visual approach to vocabulary learning, enhancing students' ability to use vocabulary in communication
2.2.2 Content
Blankmindmap is a mind mapping tool that helps students systematize and visualize knowledge easily With Blankmindmap, students can connect ideas, vocabulary, and related information visually, improving memory retention and deepening their understanding of each topic This tool supports the creation of empty mind maps, allowing students to freely organize and present information flexibly, which improves their ability to learn and apply vocabulary effectively
To enhance vocabulary learning for students, I can combine ChatGPT and Coggle through the following steps: First, I use ChatGPT to classify vocabulary into appropriate groups by crafting a clear prompt requesting the system to provide vocabulary lists organized by groups, with group names in English and explanations
in Vietnamese After receiving the results from ChatGPT, I proceed to design the mind map on Coggle (https://coggle.it/), creating a new map, adding the main title, and organizing the vocabulary groups into branches I can then adjust the layout and use colors to highlight the main and sub-branches Finally, I incorporate this mind map into the lesson by asking students to complete the map within 5-7 minutes, compare their results with a partner, and practice summarizing or presenting based
on the vocabulary learned, fostering confidence and creativity

After receiving the categorized vocabulary list, I proceed to design the online mind map using Coggle through the following steps:

+ Create a New Diagram:
I click on the “+ Create Diagram” button to create a new mind map
+ Create the Main Topic:
I enter the main title for the mind map, for example, "Vocabulary - Inventions (Unit 5)."
+ Create Vocabulary Branches:
I add main branches corresponding to the vocabulary groups categorized by ChatGPT Then, I add sub-branches under each main branch that contain specific vocabulary related to each group
+ Customize the Layout:
I arrange the positions of the branches to form a balanced and logical mind map I use different colors to highlight each vocabulary group, which helps students easily identify and memorize the words
+ Save and Share the Mind Map:
After completing the mind map, I save it for sharing with students or print it if needed
This method helps students visualize the relationships between vocabulary terms, making it easier for them to understand and retain the words The mind map also serves as a useful tool for review and self-study

The purpose of this measure is to help students know how to use Notion AI to take notes, organize and learn vocabulary scientifically and effectively Notion AI provides tools to support note-taking, classify vocabulary by topic, create vocabulary tables with illustrations and detailed explanations In addition, applying Notion AI also helps students monitor their learning process, evaluate progress and review vocabulary regularly, thereby improving their ability to remember and use

The implementation process consists of 3 steps: First, I determine the vocabulary learning goal, then guide students to register for Notion and use it Next, students use Notion's AI feature, create a dynamic vocabulary list, and finally some operations on the software so that students can learn words effectively

After students have created a vocabulary note page in Notion for Unit 2: Humans and the environment and completed the vocabulary table using Notion AI, I continue to guide students through the steps to memorize and review vocabulary effectively
Students are guided on how to create weekly reminders on Notion to maintain the habit of reviewing vocabulary regularly Students can follow these steps:
+ Select Add a new page or create a separate section in the vocabulary page + Create a To-Do List or Reminder with content such as: "Review vocabulary Unit 2"
+ Set the reminder to repeat weekly at a fixed time (for example: every Saturday at 18:00)
+ Notion will send reminders via email or application so that students do not miss review time
To help students remember vocabulary more deeply, teachers encourage students to create their own sentences with each word in the vocabulary table Students are required to:
+ Write sentences using each vocabulary word in personal situations or in English exercises they have learned
Example: For the word “produce,” students might write: “My family produces organic vegetables on our farm.”
These example sentences should be added to the vocabulary table created in Notion for easy review I also use the Database in Notion and select the Gallery view
to create flashcards Each vocabulary word will be a “card” in the library Students can write the vocabulary word on the front and information such as meaning, word type, and examples on the back by writing in the Body of the card

2.4.1 Purpose
The purpose of this measure is to help students improve their presentation and communication skills in English through the use of Gamma AI to automatically design slides This tool supports students to create attractive, professional presentations, encouraging them to use the vocabulary they have learned in real-life contexts At the same time, using Gamma AI
helps students save time, focus on building content and practicing effective presentation skills
2.4.2 Content
I implemented this measure in the following steps: First, I prepared some key vocabulary related to the presentation topic and instructed students on how to register for a Gamma AI account Then, I divided the class into small groups (3-4 students per group) and assigned specific tasks before the main lesson Each group was provided with suggested questions to develop the content and asked to prepare presentation content based on the keywords they had learned During the preparation time, students researched, searched for information, organized ideas and created a layout for the slides After completing the content, students entered the prepared ideas into the Gamma AI command box to automatically generate slides, then adjusted and completed the slides to match the presentation content During the main lesson, each group of students took turns presenting to the class using the slides designed with the support of Gamma AI I conduct comments and assessments based
on criteria such as vocabulary usage, presentation structure, presentation skills and confidence in presenting
2.4.3 Methods of Implementation

Step 1: Prepare vocabulary and introduce Gamma AI
Trang 19First, I listed some key vocabulary related to the topic of the speech: Preserve, heritage, cultural heritage, instruments, artists/performers, etc
I also guided students on how to register for a Gamma AI account and introduced the basic functions of this tool, especially the feature of automatically designing presentation slides
Step 2: Assign tasks and plan preparation
I divided the class into small groups (about 3-4 students per group) I assigned the task (1 week before the Project): Each group chooses a traditional Vietnamese music form (e.g cheo, quan ho, cai luong, xoan, etc.) I also provided a set of suggested questions to help the groups develop content for the slide:
1 When and where did this type of traditional music originate?
2 What instruments are commonly used in this traditional music?
3 What are the different types or styles of this traditional music?
