논문 목적 및 필요성

Research on the employment status of graduates is not a new topic, yet it remains relevant As a student majoring in Korean, I find this issue particularly significant Employment after graduation is a concern that affects not only the students themselves but also their families, schools, and society as a whole.

Korean is gaining significant attention in Vietnam, becoming one of the most studied languages Additionally, Korean culture is highly popular among Vietnamese youth, which explains the surge in applicants to Korean language programs Acquiring proficiency in Korean opens up various opportunities for individuals.

As job opportunities continue to grow, students studying Korean are presented with an increasing array of career choices due to economic development and integration Additionally, South Korean investments and collaborations in Vietnam are rising annually According to Invest Vietnam, South Korea ranked first among foreign investors in Vietnam in 2020, with over 5,000 businesses, particularly notable companies like Samsung, LG, and POSCO leading the way.

The emergence of major South Korean corporations, such as Hyundai and Lotte Group, investing in Vietnam has led to a continuous increase in demand for personnel proficient in the Korean language.

Every year, a significant number of applicants apply for jobs, yet the pool of candidates who meet employers' requirements remains quite limited For instance, specific examples illustrate this disparity.

In 2020, the number of international tour guides proficient in Korean increased to 150 nationwide, up from the previous year, 2019.

Despite an increase of over 100 individuals, the number of staff available to assist tourists remains insufficient According to tourism statistics, approximately 4.3 million South Korean tourists visited Vietnam in 2019, ranking second after China, which had 5.8 million visitors.

The demand for tourism resources has increased significantly, highlighting a shortage of Korean guides in the tourism industry.

Despite the increasing number of graduates majoring in Korean, there remains a significant shortage of qualified candidates who meet employer requirements Nguyen Kim Son from Hanoi National University highlights this ongoing issue.

According to the current Minister of Education, who served as the president from June 30, 2016, to June 24, 2021, there are 412 universities across the country, averaging 6.6 universities per province With a total population of 95 million, approximately 2.2 million students are graduating, which is higher than in many developed countries These figures reflect the large-scale training situation in our country, indicating that some students are not focusing on mathematics and are losing direction in their future paths.

Students at Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages, particularly in the Department of Korean Language and Korean Culture, face various career options However, many still grapple with uncertainty about their future paths, often contemplating jobs unrelated to their major, which leads to confusion regarding their aspirations.

Students at Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages primarily major in translation and interpretation, Korean studies, and education within the Department of Korean Language and Culture.

The 2019 employment report from the Department of Korean Language and Korean Culture at Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages highlights the career outcomes of its graduates.

Out of 62 students surveyed, 58 reported being employed However, many graduates find themselves in jobs unrelated to their major or in positions that contradict their career aspirations This situation leads to a waste of human resources, while companies continue to face a shortage of quality talent.

Before facing the aforementioned challenges, learners must adopt a new perspective and adapt flexibly to real situations in order to find employment opportunities that align with their desires.

According to the table, Team 1 had fewer participants than Team 2 This discrepancy is attributed to the limited job opportunities suitable for Korean language majors after graduation for Team 1, while Team 2 benefited from market demand, making their job search process more advantageous and providing them with better access to job information.

The response indicating a duration of less than three months ranked second among the choices regarding the time it takes to secure employment after graduation.

The number of survey respondents from the teams showed little variation, with Team 1 comprising 50.7% (36 members) and Team 2 making up 37.84% (42 members) This indicates that these students are actively engaging in thorough research about their careers and companies, as well as enrolling in supplementary courses for job exploration during the three months following graduation.

The duration of job search after graduation varies, with no significant differences between the time frames of '3-6 months', '6-12 months', and 'over 12 months' This can be attributed to personal issues, difficulty in finding suitable jobs, or the influence of social relationships The survey results indicate that most students experience a similar timeframe in their job search.

According to the chart presented above, soft skills have the highest impact on employment, accounting for 33% Individuals who selected soft skills as a key factor in employment often do not excel significantly before graduation.

It is evident that the individual had little interest in skill development Therefore, it is advisable to take supplementary courses in soft skills to meet employer demands after graduation Currently, there are cost-effective methods for learning soft skills that can yield significant results By allocating appropriate time and focusing on study, one can achieve rapid personal development.

Computer skills are increasingly valued by companies, with 32% of employers prioritizing this ability in candidate evaluations Many students prepare for their future careers by taking computer courses during their school years However, some still focus on improving their office computer skills after graduation, which can impact their job search In addition to computer proficiency, foreign language skills, particularly in English, are also crucial for job seekers, as highlighted by graduates from the Korean Language and Culture Department at Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages.

In addition to the factors affecting the employment of graduates, such as social relationships and sources of information, other elements also play a significant role in the job search activities of graduates Various factors influence their employment opportunities.

The job market may be somewhat affected as students who have just graduated take a break before entering the workforce.

Many students seeking employment after graduation may feel uncertain about where to begin their job search or which careers suit them best This confusion can stem from a lack of direction or understanding of their own skills and interests Engaging with instructors and parents can provide valuable insights and guidance in navigating the job market.

Students today require advice and support from friends, and with the advancement of the internet, they can access valuable resources through various websites.

Finding employment can be made easier through online centers, yet many individuals still face challenges due to a lack of work experience.

There are situations where individuals are being misled According to my research, survey participants indicated that there are various methods available to obtain information about their job and other essential requirements These methods are detailed in the table below.

졸업 후 취업을 위한 적절한 준비뿐만 아니라 선택도 만들어준다

학교

Firstly, schools should regularly organize seminars and corporate interactions to enhance students' work experience after graduation, while also boosting their motivation to learn and supplementing practical knowledge.

In January 2022, a significant international seminar titled "Korea from the Perspective of Southeast Asia" was held, sponsored by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Korean Studies and the Academy of Korean Studies Additionally, a specialized course on "Content and Methods of Korean Cultural Education," presented by instructor Hwang Woo-cheol, is scheduled for 2021.

On October 11, 2021, a workshop was held, but the number of workshops and seminars remains limited Speakers shared in-depth insights about internship programs, corporate recruitment, and company culture, providing students with opportunities to experience professional environments firsthand Additionally, participation in technical training courses enhances their professional skills and career orientation.

Secondly, schools establish partnership agreements with companies regarding student recruitment after graduation, focusing on semesters, learning, and subjects.

Collaboration with organizations and companies is essential to organize practical internships for students Universities must closely connect with institutions and businesses to support students' job searches and identify the necessary labor demands.

This approach offers students opportunities to engage more closely with real work environments after graduation, significantly enhancing the quality of education and improving access to skills and practical experience Additionally, it fosters a culture of discipline and serious conduct, which strengthens job creation and support for students.

The school organizes job fairs, such as the ULIS Job Fair, in collaboration with domestic and international organizations and companies This annual event provides students with real-world experience and the opportunity to receive advice from entrepreneurs about the work environment and challenges in the labor market The fair serves as a bridge for students to interact, showcase their skills, and explore employment opportunities.

학생들은 4.0 시대에 직업지향적이고 새로운 기술을 개발하게 될 것이다 또 다른 예로 2021 년

On June 30, the KOR Consortium of Chonnam National University in South Korea collaborated with Ban Lang University for academic exchange and joint research Additionally, on July 15, 2020, Hanoi University of Science and Technology partnered with AIDEM to enhance educational activities and academic exchange with Japanese universities and companies.

Thirdly, schools create conditions that allow students to participate in part-time jobs at recruitment agencies This approach is similar to providing opportunities for students to intern at hiring companies or organizations, enabling them to gain professional experience.

Enhancing knowledge and specialized skills will aid students in developing their abilities to respond and grow through interactions with clients Additionally, creating conditions for student participation in businesses and job placement agencies will familiarize them with preparing employment documents and interviews Depending on the time and scope of corporate hiring requirements, universities will provide guidelines and suggestions to assist students in their job search efforts.

Fourth, there is a need to develop a new mechanism for Korean language education that meets corporate demands Specifically, schools should train students within a structured framework that aligns with industry requirements, guiding them to study specialized subjects during the training process The evaluation of student outcomes should commence immediately upon entering into agreements with training institutions.

The collaboration between companies allows students to engage in practical training while simultaneously completing their learning programs at school.

Fifthly, there is a need for innovative training programs that facilitate greater interaction and connection between schools and businesses.

Training programs should be closely aligned with real-world applications, placing greater emphasis on soft skills for students and trainees For instance, students should be offered numerous opportunities to visit companies and engage in practical experiences.

To choose a suitable career after graduation, it is essential to first understand oneself and recognize the goals, efforts, and growth needed to achieve them Students, particularly those in Korean language and culture programs, can benefit from various activities that help them comprehend their values, strengths, and weaknesses.

예를 다음과 같다

Participating in workshops or volunteer activities is one of the most popular pursuits among students These experiences not only allow students to learn valuable lessons and soft skills but also help them discover their strengths and overcome weaknesses Students studying the Korean language and culture have numerous opportunities to engage in such activities In addition to those organized by faculty, students can explore even more options.

Students can find and participate in various extracurricular activities, such as newspaper clubs, speaking clubs, and Korean language clubs, which are often organized by faculty Joining these clubs can provide valuable experiences for those majoring in Korean Additionally, inspiring videos like "The World in 15 Minutes" encourage students to reflect on their own lives.

Students can enhance their Korean language skills through engaging videos, allowing them to practice effectively while gaining valuable insights.

경험 많은 사람들의 실제 경험을 통해 자신 스스로를 반성하게 된다

Students should seek part-time jobs while studying Why is it important to work part-time? How does it assist students in choosing their future careers? The benefits are as follows.

The Korean job market offers abundant opportunities, making it easy to find part-time jobs related to the Korean language, such as teaching assistants, translators, and restaurant staff Importantly, these roles allow students to practice what they learn in class, helping them develop their skills and strengths while assessing their suitability for similar careers Additionally, these experiences can provide valuable insights and potential opportunities for future employment, especially when students have clearly defined goals.

The article highlights the importance of providing motivation to students, which can be achieved through accessible resources Additionally, it emphasizes the role of employees in shaping career choice plans for individuals.

Creating a turning point, part-time jobs, especially in office or educational fields, will assist students in developing a professional work style.

In a highly competitive environment, students who struggle with the Korean language should consider developing skills in another common foreign language or choosing a different major to enhance their prospects By studying an alternative field, these students can stand out more in the eyes of potential employers, as most companies value diverse expertise.

Candidates with expertise in diverse fields are offered employment opportunities Employers will recognize the effort, courage, and adaptability of those who choose a second field or major, setting them apart from numerous competitors Consequently, students enhance their job prospects and gain a competitive edge over those who focus solely on one major.

Students must accumulate and train essential soft skills from the time they are seated in the classroom, as these skills are considered to account for 75% of an individual's success.

Communication skills are essential for careers such as interpreters, teachers, and tour guides, especially for those majoring in Korean These professions require the ability to convey information completely, accurately, and promptly Gaining experience through part-time jobs in companies can enhance these skills and provide valuable learning opportunities.

Participating in an online communication course allows students to practice and enhance their communication skills effectively.

Teamwork skills are essential for students as they enable them to quickly adapt to corporate workflows and align with business operations effectively.

The article emphasizes the importance of collaboration, highlighting how it assists not only team members but also colleagues from different departments It also focuses on understanding how to work with customers effectively within the workflow processes.
