연구의 필요성 및 목적

Since the official diplomatic relations were established on December 22, 1992, Vietnam and South Korea have continuously collaborated across various sectors, particularly in the economic field.

South Korea is a key economic partner of Vietnam, closely collaborating in various sectors As of November 20, 2021, South Korea leads foreign investment in Vietnam, with a total registered capital of $74.14 billion across 9,203 active businesses, accounting for 18.3% of Vietnam's total registered investment capital Major companies like Samsung and LG are significant contributors to this investment landscape.

In Vietnam, over 9,000 South Korean companies are currently operating, with major conglomerates such as Lotte, Hyundai, and CJ actively participating in the market.

Korean companies are actively engaged in various sectors of the Vietnamese economy, including apparel, electronics, infrastructure, automotive, aerospace, real estate, and banking As a result, the demand for Korean interpreters in Vietnam is steadily increasing The role of interpreters is crucial for effective communication and collaboration between parties Recognizing this need, the Department of Korean Language and Culture at Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages, a prestigious institution with a long history, is dedicated to providing specialized interpreter training Although interpreter courses were introduced into the curriculum decades ago and have since received positive feedback and evaluations, there are still areas that require improvement.

The skills of interpreters must evolve to meet the practical demands of society Most students should enhance their proficiency and interpreting abilities through real-world experiences by the time they graduate.

In the current context of globalization, the expansion of cultural exchanges, tourism development, and the ongoing international economic integration between the two countries, it is essential to recognize the significance of these dynamics.

Professional Korean interpretation training should not only expand employment opportunities for workers but also adequately support employers in both quantitative and qualitative aspects Therefore, the Department of Korean Language and Korean Culture at Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages begins teaching interpretation courses from the third year, enabling students to progress from basic to specialized interpretation skills.

The interpretation course offers a structured opportunity for learners to engage with the subject Interpretation is a comprehensive field that requires students to possess advanced language skills Consequently, the assessments linked to the interpretation course play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of education by evaluating learners' abilities and progress.

Through the educational program, individuals can assess their current level and stage However, there are still several limitations in the evaluation of interpretation subjects, particularly in Korean interpretation These include a failure to meet course objectives, an overemphasis on memory tests, and various negative phenomena Therefore, improving evaluation methods is essential for enhancing the quality of education and human resources.

Current research activities focus on providing an overview of the state of Korean language translation and interpretation education in Vietnam, as well as examining translation practices.

This study focuses on the evaluation methods for examinations in the Korean interpretation course, delving into the assessment strategies employed in this field.

This study aims to provide additional resources for those researching the evaluation methods of interpretation courses in Korean education, particularly in the context of Korean-Vietnamese interpretation training.

In light of the innovative demands in education, enhancing the quality of education necessitates a critical evaluation of assessment methods It is essential to address and improve existing limitations in these methods to meet the evolving educational needs.

This framework enables students to expand their understanding not only of language and interpretation skills but also of specialized knowledge in specific fields and cultural insights Additionally, the curriculum is structured around 15 topics, corresponding to 15 weeks of instruction, which are designed based on a survey of learners' actual needs, incorporating 20 foundational subjects.
