Today, the more the society develops, the more English is ingrained in every aspect of our lives, so knowing English is extremely necessary Learning English will bring us many benefits: access to more knowledge, and new cultures; access to an endless source of information, communication and entertainment on the internet; direct service at the workplace; can understand modern media information, read labels and usages of foreign products, effectively use tools and applications such as Google, Facebook, Grab, etc
In the context of learning English language in Vietnam, learners are searching for practical opportunities on their own to use the linguistics they learnt Schools, work place and society are also helping learners to find suitable opportunities They will help learners have more opportunities to practice English better, thereby improving the effectiveness of learning English Using English in real situations will also motivate learners to have their own needs
Teaching practice shows that there are many students who are passionate about learning English, they remember and pronounce it very well They actively talk in class because of their language skills and their own efforts However, students at my school are not aware of the purpose of learning English, in other words do not understand how learning English applies to life Since then, many students have a bad mentality They are not confident, not really flexible in class lessons and have not trained to actively read and speak English, and rarely participate in speaking to absorb lesson
Beside this the main goal of education according to the 2018 general education program is to develop qualities and abilities, in a way that teaches basic, practical, modern knowledge, harmoniously combining virtue, intelligence, body, beauty and focusing on practicality, so that students can apply what they have learnt into practice
More over making an English wall newspaper like a game in which students can draw, decorate and present everything they like Then they practice writing and speaking skill through their pictures We will create practical opportunities for children to use their English knowledge learned in class, help them develop soft skills, and create excitement for them to study and practice the subject From that, this helps children to be more comfortable, excited and eager to learn English Due to my English knowledge limitation and the frame of the paper, I have
decided to carry out the topic entitled "Constructing an English wall newspaper
to develop an English learning and using environment for students in class 7A
at Vinh Phuc Secondary School, Vinh Loc district” Hopefully, this topic
contributes to improving the quality of English at my school in particular and others in general
1.2 Research purposes:
With the aim of giving learners the opportunity to practice with foreign
languages, "Constructing an English wall newspaper to develop learning and
using English environment for class 7A at Vinh Phuc Secondary School, Vinh Loc district " has been planned and implemented at my school in this school year.
Trang 4The activities ensure not only enhance foreign language ability for students and
teachers, but also helps to expand cultural understanding and capacity building self-study, foster organizational skills, work in groups, manage time, and practice
as well as confidence in each student Specifically, students can:
- Compilation, design and presentation the English magazine under the guidance of English teacher and volunteers
- Collecting and designing questions and answers about general knowledge
in foreign languages, forming collection of common questions for the whole class and the whole school
- Learning knowledge of other subjects in English;
- Using foreign languages to introduce Vietnamese culture to foreigners, and
at the same time forging and training soft skills such as: group coordination, creativity, presentation
- Applying foreign languages in many situations, diverse topics, close often organize and promote each student's forte
- Foreign language training combines skills and attitudes to save and protect the environment;
- Applying foreign language ability to solve the tasks assigned by the teacher;
- Take pictures of things/places, do “photojournalism” in which the status quo and impact are stated status quo if not resolved/improved, suggest options that individuals/ practice being able to solve/improve the situation in English;
- Plan to learn about a teacher or a character and then retell it in English He through each life story
- Learn more about various fields such as finding secret objects through reading work a "secret letter" section in a foreign language designed by a teacher, etc
1.3 The object research:
Demonstrate ability to use English effectively for communication and task completion for students in class 7A at Vinh Phuc Secondary School in learning English
1.4 Research Methods:
To attract the participation of many other students, teachers, and parents are very important as well as the roles of the school's principals and the school's teaching staff In addition, the active role of students in organizing activities action is of vital importance Students are the organizers of the activities are both
Project method of teaching – specifically "Constructing an English wall

but it has been and will promise to bring much effect There are some new points
of experience initiative:
- Students compile, design, and present English magazines by themselves with direction, support of teacher.
- Products are displayed, introduced to visitors at an exhibition.
- Experience of writing Mad libs by students at the exhibition

2.1 Theoretical basis
Along with the change of society, teaching methods also change to meet the increasing demand for proficient use of English communication skills It is this need that creates a high demand for the quality of teaching, as well as for resources and materials for language teaching In addition, the need for appropriate teaching methods is now stronger than ever Therefore, the current method of teaching foreign languages has shifted from a teacher-centered approach to a learner-centered approach There, learners can communicate in a real communication environment, work in pairs, or in small groups to perform specific tasks Learners have the opportunity to express their opinions or feelings and to ask questions if they do not understand something
In fact, in teaching and learning foreign languages, students will learn more effectively if they learn in a fun, relaxing learning atmosphere and have many opportunities to communicate in real-world contexts Most of the children are very excited about this new subject at first, they are like children learning to talk, to write - love to talk, to write Therefore, the first step in forming for students is to apply what they have learned in real life with vocabulary, grammar, and the simplest sentences revolving around topics that are close and familiar to them The goal of the program to teach English at higher levels and to help students practice English skills as well as other soft skills Actively promoting students' English practice helps them to really participate in the communication process and activities that teachers offer in lectures and daily life Therefore, it requires teachers to have a heart for the profession, always planning, programs, improving the form of teaching methods more and more effectively
2.2 The real situation of the research problem:

Trang 6Vinh Phuc secondary School is built on the 1st, September, 1965 It is a school with a tradition of more than 50 years Thanks to the care and support of the school’s leader, local authorities and students’ parents, our school has been fully invested quite enough teaching and learning equipments Especially, the English classrooms are equipped with a short throw projector and a smart interactive screen, so teachers can organize teaching and learning activities variously, conveniently and easily Students can participate in learning activities conveniently
- From teachers and students:
In our school, teachers are Enthusiastic and high responsible to students
We all love children and our students are good and obedient They are hard – working and active
- From constructing an English wall newspaper in teaching and

speaking skill …
b Disadvantages:
- From learning conditions and textbooks:
The number of students in a class in our school is a quite crowded This leads to the difficulty in creating activities for students to practice in pairs or in groups Over the years, there are so many types of textbooks from different publishers and the changes of using textbooks making it difficult to choose teaching materials Due to apprehension, fear of making mistakes, using language incorrectly, or limited vocabulary, most students are hesitant to use English for communication or other activities within the school
- From methods of teaching and learning:
Teaching method is still limited, mainly presentations It is not flexibly applied or combined with different organizational forms Teaching mainly focus
on grammatical structures, follow the mechanical drills in the textbook Communicative activities are also applied, but they are not specific and do not bring high efficiency
- From students and Parents’ opinions about learning English:
Parents and students have misconceptions about learning English They think that learning English only focuses on learning vocabularies, writing words
or doing grammar exercises to get high results at school and on exams Additionally, some parents lack the connection to assist their children in learning English effectively From the above advantages and disadvantages, to deal with these situations I think the class need to be really engaging The atmosphere in the class must be interesting and relaxing
Before implementing this measure, I researched documents, prepared tests, observed classes, exchanged ideas with colleagues, learned from experiences, and surveyed all 38 students in class 7A at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year
at Vinh Phuc Secondary School The results obtained are as follows:

Trang 8From these results, I observed the following existing issues regarding English for students in class 7A at my school:
- Regarding teachers: Although teachers make efforts to apply active teaching methods, they can only apply them to a limited number of lessons, thus the effectiveness of teaching this subject is not as desired Many lessons are passive, and class hours are less dynamic
- Regarding students: Besides students who enjoy learning foreign languages, there are also many students who either dislike learning or find difficulties in this subject
- Reading and writing skills in English are limited
From the above survey results, I have researched, planned and implemented
“Constructing an English wall newspaper to develop an English learning and
using environment for students in class 7A at Vinh Phuc Secondary School, Vinh Loc district”.
2.3 The measure has been used to solve the problem:
With the goal of helping students develop language usage skills, especially writing, speaking, and presenting in English, as well as enhancing soft skills such
as teamwork, information search, IT application, problem-solving, critical
thinking, and creativity, I implemented the following measure:

2.3.1 Phase 1: Determine the topic for the wall newspaper:

- Students can talk about the main types, genres and content
of each type of articles in a wall newspaper
- Ability to use both English and Vietnamese languages
