1.1 Reason for choosing the topic
In the current information technology era, artificial intelligence (AI) has openedpromising doors, of which education is one of the prominent fields With theability to analyze data quickly and automatically, AI brings opportunities tooptimize learning experiences, contributing to the innovation of teachingmethods, meeting the current fundamental educational innovation process,especially the 2018 General Education Program Using artificial intelligenceproperly and scientifically can help teachers improve teaching performance,thereby creating favorable conditions for students to study better
In the context of strong digital transformation, the explosion of artificialintelligence (AI) has deeply affected all areas of life, of which education is one ofthe most clearly affected sectors "Artificial intelligence plays an important role inreshaping the development thinking and educational strategy of each country.Managers and educators are the pioneers and key forces in implementingeducational policies, in which AI is considered a useful tool to develop students'capacity and qualities"
It can be seen that artificial intelligence is having a significant impact oneducational trends in recent times So, how can teachers use AI to optimizeteaching time and improve students' learning performance? To answer thosequestions, I have researched and applied artificial intelligence (AI) in the teaching
of English at Quang Xuong II high School And in fact, applying artificialintelligence to teaching helps teachers improve teaching efficiency, helping
students learn better That is the reason I chose the topic “Applying artificial intelligence in teaching and learning English to improve the effectiveness of knowledge acquisition for 10th grade students at Quang Xuong II High School”.
1.2 Research purpose
Using AI to learn languages has many benefits First, faster learning AI-poweredlanguage learning tools help speed up learning because they provide instantfeedback, point out areas of weakness that need improvement, and tailor learningmaterials to the user’s abilities This allows learners to recognize and improvetheir weaknesses and progress quickly Second, learners improve theirpronunciation and intonation One of the biggest challenges when learning alanguage is mastering pronunciation and intonation AI-powered tools canprovide real-time feedback on pronunciation, allowing learners to correctmistakes and develop a more natural voice Third, greater accessibility AI makeslanguage learning more accessible to those who do not have access to traditionallearning resources With AI-powered apps and platforms, anyone with asmartphone or an internet connection can learn a language anytime, anywhere.Teachers will see that applying artificial intelligence to teaching English saves alot of time in preparing lessons and using that time to exploit the lessons more

This topic deals with the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in lessonpreparation for teachers teaching English at Quang Xuong II high School
b) Object of research
- AI tools: Chat GPT, automatic slideshow creation tool Canva
- Popular AI-assisted English learning applications today include Mochimochi,Duolingo, Hello Talk, Prep, ELSA Speak, which are increasingly widely used,and contribute to forming habits and supporting language learning and practice
- Teachers teaching English at Quang Xuong II high School

Through the process of using AI applications in teaching, I have noticed that theoutstanding point of the applications I mentioned here is that they are completelyfree with open source code The applications bring users new advantages such as:
1.5.1 Smart Content Creation
Lesson planning and lectures can sometimes be repetitive and unimaginative.With AI, teachers can:
• Create unique lesson topics that are appropriate for the student's level
• Create interactive games and activities like Kahoot or Quizlet based on thelesson content
• Quickly design interesting grammar, vocabulary, and reading exercises
Tip: Use tools like ChatGPT or Canva AI to create more engaging and richteaching materials
1.5.2 Personalize Learning
Each student has a different learning speed and learning needs AI makes it easyfor teachers to create:
• Lessons customized to each student's level and learning goals
• Provide detailed, quick feedback for each writing and speaking skill
• Suggest appropriate practice exercises to help students improve theirweaknesses
For example, tools like Grammarly help correct grammar errors, while Edpuzzlehelps students learn on their own through interactive videos

1.5.4 Create Virtual Conversations to Develop Speaking Skills
One of the difficulties when learning English is practicing speaking AI helpsteachers create:
• Virtual conversations in specific contexts (interviews, shopping, traveling, etc.)
• Suggest questions for students to practice speaking reflexes every day
• Detect pronunciation errors and suggest ways to correct them
For example, tools like Elsa Speak or Google Speech-to-Text help studentsimprove their pronunciation and natural intonation
1.5.5 Igniting Learning Interest Through Games and Videos
AI offers a variety of tools to make lessons more lively and engaging:
• Create short video lectures with engaging content using Synthesia or Pictory AI
• Design learning games to review vocabulary and grammar such as Kahoot,Quizizz
• Analyze data to understand student engagement and adjust activitiesaccordingly
2 CONTENT
2.1.Assessment of the current situation.
In order to build the initiative “Applying artificial intelligence in teaching and learning English to improve the effectiveness of knowledge acquisition for 10th grade students at Quang Xuong II High School” effectively, practically,
closely linked to reality and scientifically, I have based on the legal documents ofthe State, the directive documents of the industry such as:
- Decision No 117/QD-TTg dated January 25, 2017 of the Prime Minister
approving the project "Strengthening the application of information technology in management and support of teaching - learning activities, scientific research contributing to improving the quality of education and training in the period 2016-2020, orientation to 2025".
- Regular training program Module 09 "Application of information technology, exploitation and use of technology equipment in teaching and educating high school students in English" is one of the teacher training modules according to
Decision No 4660/QD-BGDDT dated December 4, 2019 of the Ministry ofEducation and Training
- Official dispatch 621/PGDDT on "Guidelines for implementing the task of applying information technology and educational statistics for the 2022-2023 school year" of Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training.
2.2 Assessment of the current situation.
a) Results achieved
Trang 6- Using artificial intelligence applications in teaching as a teaching toolcontributes to promoting teachers to innovate teaching methods Teachers caneasily access, use quickly and can use it immediately in their daily teaching work.
- Thanks to AI, teachers can save time grading papers, designing lessons and focus
on guiding students more effectively
- The application of information technology in general and the use of artificialintelligence applications in particular in the teaching process has helped studentsbecome more interested, more active, and work scientifically and accurately Inparticular, for weak and poor students, it can help them remember knowledge,initially creating interest in learning
b) Limitations
The topic still has certain limitations because the researcher's perspective is notcomprehensive, only specifically researching some applications in the process ofteaching English, so the content is not rich and not expanded During theimplementation process, there are some problems that are not in the expecteddirection Objective reasons such as students not really cooperating also create theabove-mentioned problems
c) Causes of achievements and limitations
- Quang Xuong II high School is a school in Quang Xuong town with a proudhistory of teaching and learning achievements In addition, the school's teachingstaff has solid professional and technical experience and is full of enthusiasm tocontribute to the cause of "growing people"
- The school receives attention from leaders at all levels and parents, so thefacilities for teaching and learning are relatively complete and modern Almostevery classroom has a TV connected to a computer for teaching and learning toinnovate teaching methods and increase students' interest in learning In addition,the school is also equipped with two information rooms with enough computersfor students to use to serve their studies, helping them to explore and discoverknowledge
- The majority of the school's students are well-behaved, have a sense of learningand are active in extracurricular activities
- Some teachers are still "hesitant" when applying information technology inteaching because they think it takes a lot of time to prepare for a lesson Designing
a lesson with vivid illustrations on a computer screen is not an easy task for manyteachers
- The investment in modern teaching equipment at the facility is not synchronized,making it difficult to apply information technology in teaching at the school

AI is one of the breakthrough techniques to customize the learning experience ofstudents, teachers, and teaching assistants Here are some applications of AI ineducation:

In schools and virtual classrooms, artificial intelligence technology takes on most
of the incremental tasks In addition to creating appropriate teaching processes, AIsoftware systems can take care of checking homework, grading tests, maintainingreports, presentations, and taking notes, among other administrative tasks Byautomating routine tasks, AI makes the learning environment time-saving but stilleffective

Artificial intelligence and machine learning have the ability to help teachers andresearch experts create content that is suitable and convenient for teaching andlearning
a.3 Improving teaching methods.
AI helps teachers optimize their teaching methods In the midst of a busy workenvironment, finding and applying new teaching methods is not easy But with thesupport of AI, integrating games or interactive lectures becomes quick, withoutrequiring teachers to spend a lot of time preparing lessons

Solution 1: Use Chat GPT to support teachers in building lessons
The overarching goal of the 2018 General Education Program is to shift fromfocusing on equipping knowledge to developing learners' qualities and abilities.From this perspective, teachers' teaching plans must demonstrate keyrequirements such as: Teaching objectives (knowledge, abilities, qualities),teaching equipment and learning materials, and teaching process
From this goal, I personally tried asking the Chat GPT application the question: "
Prepare a lesson plan for English for grade 11 students about becoming independent" Interestingly, the answer that Chat GPT provided was quite
