"Hồi ức sắc màu" is a project dedicated to connecting Vietnam’s younger

generation with the nation's rich historical legacy By guiding students on a journey through the Vietnam Military History Museum, the project provides a unique opportunity to engage with stories and artifacts that embody the resilience, sacrifices, and aspirations of our ancestors

Far beyond a simple recounting of historical events, this initiative invites students to experience history as a living, dynamic narrative Through

interactive exploration of the museum’s exhibits, students are encouraged to delve deeper into the lessons of the past, fostering critical inquiry and a profound sense of cultural identity Each story, artifact, and memory preserved

in the museum serves as a testament to the enduring spirit and strength of the Vietnamese people

At its core, "Hồi ức sắc màu" aspires to ignite inspiration and national pride among students, reminding them of their roles as both inheritors of a proud legacy and contributors to a promising future In revisiting the lessons of history, students are empowered to carry forward the values of perseverance, unity, and hope

This project will be a bridge to understanding and honoring the past, as well as a source of inspiration for building a brighter, more connected future

1 Project Name

The name "Hồi Ức Sắc Màu" (translated as "Echoes of Colors") reflects the project’s mission to vividly reconnect students with Vietnam’s historical legacy

"Hồi ức" (Echoes/Memories) symbolizes the enduring resonance of the past in

shaping the present and future, while "Sắc màu" (Colors) represents the richness, diversity, and emotional vibrancy of history Together, the name conveys a dynamic exploration of the nation's heritage, where stories of heroism, sacrifice, and resilience are brought to life, inspiring students to form a deep and lasting connection with their cultural identity

2 Project Overview

Purpose and Significance

The purpose of "Hồi Ức Sắc Màu" is to create an engaging platform for students

to explore Vietnam's military history and cultural heritage By providing a dynamic and interactive approach to learning, the project aims to deepen students' understanding of the sacrifices and resilience that have shaped the nation’s identity Through this, it seeks to inspire a sense of pride, respect, and responsibility for preserving and celebrating the values passed down through generations

Target Audience

The project primarily targets students aged 15-25, a generation standing at the

crossroads of learning and identity formation By focusing on this group, "Hồi

Ức Sắc Màu" aims to nurture a lifelong connection to history and foster critical

thinking about the role of heritage in shaping personal and collective values Professors and educators are also key stakeholders, as they play a vital role in integrating the project’s objectives into the broader educational context

Mission and Core Values

The mission of "Hồi Ức Sắc Màu" is to serve as a bridge between the past and

the present, enabling younger generations to engage meaningfully with their history Its core values include education, inspiration, and national pride The project emphasizes experiential learning, ensuring that historical knowledge is not merely acquired but felt and understood It values inclusivity, encouraging diverse perspectives and interpretations of history while cultivating a shared sense of identity and purpose among participants

3 SMART Analysis

SPECIFIC

The project has clearly defined goals – to promote awareness of Vietnam’s history, enhance cultural pride, and inspire a deeper understanding of historical narratives among the younger generation It focuses on delivering this experience through a series of engaging and well-planned activities, including museum visits, minigames and opportunity to interact with the speaker

MEASURABLE

The success of the project can be assessed through specific metrics, such as the number of participants engaged, feedback received from participants and stakeholders, and the overall impact on participants' knowledge and interest in history The project aims to reach at least 15 students in each visit

ACHIEVABLE

With the support of a dedicated team, speakers with wide knowledge, and access to cultural and historical resources such as the Vietnam Military History Museum, the project is entirely feasible Its structure ensures that all objectives align with available resources and stakeholder expertise

RELEVANT

The project addresses the pressing need for more engaging and innovative approaches to historical education It aligns with the broader goal of preserving cultural heritage and fostering a sense

of national identity among young people Furthermore, it contributes to community building by connecting individuals through shared narratives of the past

TIME-BOUND

The project is structured within a clear timeframe, running on the 14th and 17th of December, 2024 This schedule ensures that all activities are planned, implemented, and evaluated systematically, maximizing impact within a focused period

II ACTION PLAN

1 General Analysis

Our project was carried out within a total one month and a half Our process of preparing the project is divided into 3 phases:

PHASE 1: Idea generation: Studying history holds immense value for

individuals and society alike, as it connects us with the past, informs the present, and guides the future However, studying history in Vietnam has long faced numerous challenges, ranging from teaching methods to approaches to content Therefore, group 5 has come up with our ideas for our project according to the 5-step Design Thinking

EMPATHIZE

In order to assess people’s needs in studying history, we conducted an online survey including different questions about people’s interest in history and their studying methods

in general These questions are designed under the form of multiple choices and short answers Via this survey, we were able to understand the desires to study history from different age groups, and their difficulties in approaching history

DEFINE

Through the online survey, we had come to the conclusion that the main problem hindering people from effectively exploring history is the lack of practical experience The traditional way of teaching and learning history in Vietnam is conveying knowledge under the form of simple paper documents such as textbooks As a result, most learners and students find this old-fashioned way of teaching boring and causes discouragement in studying and adhering to this subject

IDEATE From the survey and the problem that we had assessed, our

team was aware of the urgent need of changes in history approaching the method In order to address the problem, our team had come up with the project of holding a tour in the Vietnam Military History Museum as a chance for people who are in need to practically explore the military history of Vietnam Furthermore, we do believe that our project can be a motivation for the participants to learn history Those who would participate in this project of ours can be strongly encouraged by the models displayed in the museum

Especially, through participating in our tour, people would also have the opportunity to explore the sacrifices of our forerunners with a close respect and treasure those sacrifices

TEST

Our project implementation would serve as the Test stage in Design Thinking The detailed plan will be specifically illustrated in the following session of this report

PHASE 2: Communication plan (4/12 - 18/12): In order to promote the project, increase awareness of the project as well as help the project reach the public, we choose to promote through media on nowadays’ popular social networking platforms, which are platforms that are used a lot and frequently by a lot of people today Specifically, we set up a fanpage for the project to update important information about the project to those who are interested in our project At the same time, this is also an effective way to promote the project through seeding to expand the project's coverage, helping the project become more known This is an optimal solution because Facebook is the most popular and used platform by almost everyone

PHASE 3: Event organization (14/12 and 17/12): our official tour in the museum was held in 2 days which are 14th and 17th of December This phase will be analyzed more specifically in 2.3

2 Detailed Analysis

2.1 Idea Generation - Survey conduction

2.1.1 Online survey conduction:

We threw a survey including different questions to understand the status quo in history learning nowadays Here are our key answers:

It can be concluded that today's youth have a significant interest in history, particularly Vietnamese history through various periods However, based on the responses we received, it is evident that history currently needs improvement, with the main issue identified as the limited practical access young people have to historical knowledge

The establishment of the Vietnam Military History Museum is one of the excellent solutions proposed by the government Although the museum was only recently founded, it has already gained substantial public interest, especially among the younger generation

2.1.2 Offline survey conduction:

We conducted a practical survey at the Vietnam Military History Museum and observed the following: while young people have a strong desire

to visit the museum with their friends, most visitors are part of large tours organized by schools, companies, and similar groups Additionally, the museum covers a vast area with many different rooms, yet the number of security staff is limited Therefore, individuals may be encountered while visiting

Furthermore, we directly surveyed visitors at the museum that day, and 75% of them expressed a desire for guided tours led by tour guides

2.1.3 Conclusion: Therefore, the social project "Hồi Ức Sắc Màu" was

established with the noble purpose of contributing to spreading historical knowledge, patriotism, and a sense of community responsibility

2.2 Communication Plan

2.2.1 Promotion Purposes:

Raise Awareness: The primary goal is to increase awareness of the

project, its mission, and its events among the target audience of young people aged 18-24

Encourage Participation: Promotion efforts are designed to inspire

active participation in the project’s activities

Create Community Engagement and Connection: The project aims to

build a community of young individuals who share a common interest in preserving and celebrating Vietnam’s history

Generate Media and Public Interest: By seeding methods, the project

seeks to attract public attention and media coverage This serves not only to promote the project but also to contribute to a broader cultural conversation about the importance of preserving historical memory and educating the youth about the nation's past

2.2.3 Achievements:

Over the span of the project, “Hồi Ức Sắc Màu” has achieved numerous significant accomplishments, reflecting its growing impact and engagement with the community For instance, the introduction post received over 100 interactions within the first day of its release, showcasing strong initial interest and enthusiasm from the public Additionally, the historical needs survey garnered more than 100 responses, indicating a high level of participation and a genuine interest in the project's mission to preserve and celebrate history Furthermore, the online form attracted over 10 registrations, marking the beginning of a dedicated group of participants eager to get involved Prior to the commencement of the first tour, the team successfully scouted and engaged with more than 10 individuals at the museum, building anticipation and fostering connections with prospective participants These milestones collectively highlight the project’s early success in fostering community involvement and setting a strong foundation for the second tour

2.3 Event Organization

2.3.1 Overview: Event is one of the main components of our project “Hồi Ức

Sắc Màu” with the primary goal of recreating and honoring historical values The event was organized in close collaboration with Vietnam Military History Museum in the involvement with: securing the museum's approval, cooperation

to facilitate various activities; inviting guest speakers; and encouraging public participation

Purpose: This event offers participants a unique opportunity to delve into

the rich tapestry of history It is designed with both informative and entertaining aspects through interactive activities and engaging presentations Therefore participants would be enabled to bridge the gap between history and contemporary life as aim to cultivate a deeper understanding of pivotal historical events, as well as inspire a lifelong passion for historical exploration and ignite a sense of community pride
