This research project seeks to explore the efficacy of Blooket in enhancing English vocabulary memorization among 6th graders at a lower secondary school in Thai Nguyen province, adopting an action research approach By examining the impact of Blooket on vocabulary acquisition, this study aims to provide valuable insights for future research and inform teaching practices that foster improved English language education.

This research aims to investigate the use of the Blooket games to enhance students' English vocabulary retention The study also seeks to identify their attitude towards the use of the Blooket games in vocabulary lessons

The purpose of the research was to address the following questions:

1 To what extent do Blooket games enhance lower secondary school students’ English vocabulary retention?

2 What are the attitudes of Lower Secondary School students regarding the use of Blooket games in vocabulary lessons?

This study focused on the implementation of Blooket games to enhance English vocabulary learning among sixth-grade students at a Lower Secondary School in Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen Province Due to time constraints, the research was limited to a specific group, comprising 20 students from Class 6A2, during their English vocabulary lessons and homework, rather than encompassing the entire grade six or semester.

Regarding the research duration, the study was conducted in 1 cycle, lasting 8 weeks, during the first term of the academic year 2023-2024

Vocabulary is essential for effective communication and plays a vital role in language learning, impacting reading comprehension, writing, and speaking skills In the digital age, gamification platforms like Blooket have gained popularity in language education This study investigates Blooket's effectiveness in enhancing English vocabulary retention among lower secondary school students

This research highlights Blooket's potential as a versatile tool for teaching English vocabulary, providing actionable recommendations for educators and informing future studies on gamification in language learning By leveraging Blooket, teachers can create engaging and innovative vocabulary lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, while students benefit from an interactive and enjoyable learning experience that enhances vocabulary retention The study's findings also offer valuable insights for educational policymakers and administrators, supporting evidence-based decision-making and resource allocation.
