You are working for a leading university in the area and are in charge of international relations At the beginning of the academic year, you are supposed to submit a proposal to the board of administration, outlining the detailed plan for international delegation programs of the year Your plan is supposed to include:

- Program objectives

- Choice of outstanding delegations

- Choice of three different universities to send delegations to

- Activities for delegations during the programs

- Estimated cost

In your plan, consideration of different options must be mentioned, and final choices must be justified

For the school:

+ Promote the image and training quality of ULIS

+ Strengthen and develop relationships with partners

+ Searching for scholarship packages, funding for academic activities, scientific research of students and lecturers - facilities for the school

For students:

+ Create opportunities to approach new teaching and learning methods, new environment

1 Definition

Delegation selection is the selection of outstanding individuals representing the school to participate in the program These individuals will directly carry out the planned activities to achieve the program objectives

3 Develope alternatives

- For officials and lecturers: including officals and lecturers in departments (each department has at most 1 person): management board, training units, functional departments, support centers, unions

- For students: there are 2 options to choose students (number of students: maximum 4 students) to participate in the program:

+ Information to the faculties, the faculties will nominate students to participate in the program

+ Organize application submission, interviews according to the whole school to select students

4 Evaluation of alternatives

4.1 Evaluation Criteria

Based on the program objectives, the delegation should include staff, lecturers and students

For officials and lecturers:

- Representative of the school

- Understand the training program of the school

- Participate in international relation work

- Directly participate in foreign language teaching

- Have experience in participating in international delegation

For students:

- 2nd or 3rd year students

- Good academic record

- Outstanding extracurricular activities

- Cooperation: Having a partnership with ULIS

- Geographical location: Universities in Japan (a country with a modern and leading education system in the world, including language majors), near international airports with flight routes to Vietnam

- Academic quality: good, recognized and appreciated nationally and internationally; leading in Japan for language and culture training
