Place the wooden plate between the front disc brake pistons and insert a front disc brake pad on one side

Using a dial indicator, measure the disc runout 10.0 mm (0.394 in.) from the outer edge of the disc
Maximum disc runout:
0.05 mm (0.00197 in.)
NOTICE:
Do not place the magnetic portion of the dial indicator near the axle hub or speed sensor
If the runout is more than the maximum, change the installation position of the disc so that runout is the
smallest possible If the runout is more than the maximum even when the installation position is changed,grind the disc If the disc thickness is less than the minimum, replace the disc

Remove the 2 pin hold clips

*1 Disc Brake Pad Guide Pin
*2 Pin Hold Clip
*3 Front Disc Brake Anti-rattle Spring
Hold down the anti-rattle spring and remove the 2 disc brake pad guide pins
Remove the 2 front disc brake pads from the disc brake cylinder assembly LH

Remove the 2 No 1 anti-squeal shims and 2 No 2 anti-squeal shims from each pad

6.DISCONNECT FRONT NO 1 WHEEL CYLINDER TUBE LH 47343A
Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the front No 1 wheel cylinder tube LH from the disc brake cylinder
assembly LH

NOTICE:
After replacing the disc brake pads, the clearance between the disc brake pads and front discs becomes larger
and the brake pedal feel becomes softer Therefore, after replacing the disc brake pads, depress the brake pedalseveral times and check the clearance and brake pedal feel
PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides

Apply disc brake grease to both sides of each No 1 anti-squeal shim

Using SST, push back the front disc brake piston

BRAKE (REAR) REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE(for 4WD and Pre-Runner) INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
Connect the No 5 flexible hose bracket with the 2 bolts
Torque:
12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) a.
Install the No 5 flexible hose bracket with the 3 bolts
Torque:
29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) b.
Attach the brake tube clamp to the No 5 flexible hose bracket
c.
Install the No 6 flexible hose bracket with the bolt
Torque:
29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) a.
Connect the flexible hose to the connecting point with each brake tube, and then install 2 new clips
a.
Using a union nut wrench, connect the rear brake tube flexible hose to the brake tube while holding the
rear brake tube flexible hose with a wrench
Torque:
Specified tightening torque : 15.2 N*m (155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf) HINT:

*a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length
Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench
