Trang 3Prior to Covid-19, travel and tourism accounted for 10% of global GDP and over
320 million jobs worldwide, making it one of the most important sectors of the world economy The pandemic – the first on this scale in the era of globalisation – has put millions of jobs in the industry at risk (United Nations World Tourism Organization, UNWTO, 2020)
One of the main policies deployed to contain the virus has been restrictions on mobility, both within and across countries This has had a huge impact on the demand for travel, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality venues across the globe We believe that this is a chance for tourists or travelers to take a break and prepare both mentally and physically for the upcoming trips after the pandemic In 2021, when domestic and international travel are ready to open again, the demand for travel will increase dramatically
In order to have the most elaborate preparation, travelers could spend time to gain experiences from the traveling course online during freetime This is also a way to avoid wasting time and be well-prepared for future trips Traveling online courses go beyond reviews and recommendations They focus on skills and knowledge With a click, you can learn new skills like languages, traveling with kids, adventure filmmaking, or solo traveling Diverse locations will expand your understanding of the world by teaching about a place’s history, cuisine, customs, and culture Whether you have a ticket booked
or want to learn about a destination or skill from home, traveling courses are visually engaging and packed with information to help you become a smarter traveler Because of that, our group decided to do a survey “Level of concern about traveling online courses among people” In the end, with people objective responses, we can collect many valuable insights to make this statement more clearly

1 Before the pandemic, how many times do you travel a year ?
1-2 times/year: 77.7%
3-4 times/year: 15.1%
Above 4 times: ~7%
The chart shows the percentages of how many times people travel per year It can
be seen clearly from the chart that people travel 1-2 times a year accounting for the largest part of the pie with 77.7%, the second largest part is 3-4 times with 15.1% Above 4 times and others account for the smaller part of the chart

Trang 6The chart represents the percentage of people who like to prepare thoroughly before the journey or discover along the journey It is clear that the number of people who like to prepare ahead accounts for the larger part of the pie with 67.6% while people who don't account with only 32.4%
4 Top 4 factors respondents take into account when travelling
Price: 87.8% said that price is the most important factor they would consider when travelling
Landscape: 82.8% will take into account the attractiveness of the landscape of the place they want to travel
Food: 82.8% will take into account the attractiveness of the landscape of the place they want to travel
Accommodation: 50% points out that type of accommodation would be the fourth factor they consider when travelling

biggest problems that affects their trip namely communication skill, planning, time
management skills
Weather: 51.4% has faced bad weather such as storm, heavy rain that seriously
ruins their trips
Information overload: 47.5% has faced the problem of excessive travel
information that makes their planning very time consuming and frustrating

Trang 8About 52.5% were satisfied with their last trip while 36.7% felt so so and only 8.6% felt dissatisfied with their most recent travel experiences
7 Do you like to save money or spend money?
Saving money and spending money account for the smaller part of the pie with 14.7% and 17.6% consecutively It usually takes a saver more considerations to make a purchase decision while a spender takes less time with less hesitation
50:50 accounts for the largest part of the pie chart with 67.6% The most chosen option
by survey participants is that they have a habit of both a saver and a spender in combination Whether they become a saver or a spender vary depending on different situations

Trang 9According to the pie chart it can be seen clearly that intermediate-level skill appears to be the most common skill level among all the answers collected from the survey and accounts for the largest part with 54.7%
Having low-level skills accounts for the second largest part of the pie chart with 26.6% About more than one fifth of the respondents answered that they do have travel skills, however these skills are still at a low level
No skill and high skill hold a smaller part of the pie chart with only 8.3% and 9.7% consecutively It seems that the people who had no skill in traveling have been quite dependent on the arrangements and guidance of professional travel agencies
2 Rate your interest in improving your skill
Very indifferent: Only 2.5% showed absolutely no interest or intention of improving their skills to travel independently
Not interested: 3.6% responded that they are incurious about the topic
Neutral: 20.5% of individuals responded to be neutral They are not completely indifferent, however the level of interest is not high either
Interested: Approximately half of the individuals were concerned and would want to improve their skill with 51.1%
Very interested: Number of people who were drawn to the topic and had much interest in improving their level of independent travel skills holds the second largest part of the pie chart with 22.3%
Trang 10 Most of the participants replied that they had not heard of travel courses (68.7%) because these kinds of courses are not popular in Vietnam
Meanwhile, the number of participants who answered that they had joined in a travel course is about 3,6%, the rest replied they had known about it
4 Which of the following skills are you interested in or want to improve?
Taking pictures: 77,7% of the participants are interested to improve their photography skill
Soft skill: 72,7% think that soft skills are very important in traveling and they want to improve them

Trang 11- Making vlogs: 50,7% want to enhance/learn the skill of making vlogs, which is very popular these day
- Read maps: 38,1% of the respondents think they need to improve their map reading skill, a very important skill when traveling
III Travel course requirements
1 How much are you willing to pay for the course?
-Most of the participants want to spend under 1 million VND (58,3%), mainly because they believe that travel courses don’t take much effort from the teaching people or the average participants’ age are from 18-22 years old and they don't have good financial resources
37,1% of the respondents can afford to pay from 1-3 millions VND for a course which is an average and reasonable price
Only 4,7% of people who took part in our survey believe that travel courses are necessary and willing to pay more than 3 million VND for a course

Have a guide: 198 (71,2%)
Learn through tutorials video: 166 (59,7%)
Take the quiz: 79 (28,4%)
Read the document themselves: 65 (23,4%)
Experience: 1 (0,4%)
The results show that people are still not too fond of self-study and self-experienced styles, but still need more vivid things, such as having a teacher or video tutorials The vast majority still follow the traditional way of learning, that is, with an instructor People feel that learning with a teacher is a real way of learning, being able to ask questions, and have a more secure and focused feeling

Science has also proven that the eyes and brain should not be active continuously for more than 60 minutes, so the vast majority of people choose a lesson time between 30 minutes and 1 hour Less than 30 minutes, the time is too short for the duration and content of a lesson to be conveyed More than 1 hour, the human eye and brain are overworked and will not be able to absorb all the knowledge, which will also lead to fatigue So 30 minutes - 1 hour is the most reasonable time for 1 class period
4 How much time can you spend on the course experience?
1-2 week: 51,1%
2-4 week: 38,5%
More than 1 month: 10,4%
Most people want to take short courses for soft skills, ideally within 1 month Maybe people want to quickly apply the soft skills they have learned, or maybe they can't organize their work for too long to learn more

Studying offline had a much smaller percentage than those who choose to study online via the App or Website The above figure shows that there is more growth potential for the online learning project
The difference is not too large between the choices of the 2 platforms to participate in the online course, which means that if the course is met on a variety of platforms, it will reach the maximum number of students possible, which platform to choose is just a matter of personal preference

The answer to this result can be as follows:
- Learning through TV is loud and clear, but only at home can it be learned easily
- Tablets also make up a small percentage because phones and laptops are still the two most popular means, especially for the younger generation
- Between phones and laptops are the two options that account for the most percentage, both means are very convenient and popular
- Studying in a certain time will make students' eyes tired because of the small screen of the phone, instead most students choose a laptop with a wide screen that will be more suitable
- Learning by phone or laptop also depends on the preferences of each person because the percentage difference is not too large
7 What is your biggest concern when taking an online course?
Trang 16For the question of the most important issue when taking the course, we have ranked the results from low to high as follows:
The least concerned is the issue of security, accounting for 27%
The second least concern is fraud problem 48.2%
Quite interesting is the tuition fee accounted for 69.4%
The second most interested in content is 80.2%
The most concerned quality is 89.9%
Explanation for this result:
- An online course does not take too much personal information, even a person can register with many different names, so security does not need to be too concerned
- Almost half of the surveyors are still afraid of scams so we must have a solution to gain people's trust
- Actually the tuition fee will go hand in hand with the quality
- Focusing on content and quality areas is always a top priority
=> It is necessary to make the product really good ( from the inside out) for customers to experience and spread to each other

24,1% of people participated in our survey are male, they seem to be less interested in online travel skill classes
74,5% of respondents are female, which shown the enthusiasm and interest of women when mentioning the topic of travel
Others gender account for 1,4% of the participants, which means there are some people in the LGBT community took part in the survey
2 How old are you?
Under 18 years old: 6,5% Which tell us that basically students are still relying on their parents as well as lack of financial autonomy and having most of their time
Trang 18dedicated to school On the other hand, people from the age of 23-60 only account for 6,8% of the participants They have a lot of responsibility to the society and their families Therefore they don t have enough time to be interested in travel’ skills classes Besides that, they have lots of experience in traveling before so they don’t see the necessity of those courses
From the age of 18-22 are the majority group that took part in this survey (86,7%).They are all young people and have more interests in exploring and traveling than the rest of the age groups, moreover, they are still independent and
do not have to depend much on their families
From the age of 23-60 only account for 6,8% of the participants They have a lot
of responsibility to the society and their families Therefore they don t have’ enough time to be interested in travel skills classes Besides that, they have lots of experience in traveling before so they don’t see the necessity of those courses
3 Where are you from?
The people who participated in our survey come from many different provinces across the country But the largest concentration is in Hanoi (46,4%), where people have a good quality of life, and many people are interested in traveling and exploring
The second appearance is Nam Dinh province where 23 respondents (8,3%) come from

According to the survey results, single people tend to be more interested in soft skills courses Most single people will easily control their time and decisions, and can spend more time learning more skills than those who are married or in a relationship
