Trang 4SUMMARY
Today's economic globalization has become a common trend of the times that cannot
be ignored by countries and nations The globalization process has a strong impact onthe economies of other countries, especially for Vietnamese businesses as our countryincreasingly participates in international economic integration International marketopportunities will be increasingly open to businesses along with the process ofVietnam's international economic integration In addition to the opportunities, thereare also many challenges that businesses must strive to overcome in order to surviveand develop The big problem is that Vietnamese businesses must know how toovercome challenges and take advantage of opportunities that Vietnam's internationaleconomic integration process brings
In order to solve the above problems, each Vietnamese enterprise needs to build forthemselves a complete and compact organizational structure, so that they can managetheir production and business activities well necessary and important for Vietnamesebusinesses
In recent years, Japanese joint stock company has constantly strived and developed,achieved many important achievements, contributing to the development of thecountry The company has made many changes in the layout of production premises.However, the production ground still has many shortcomings and limitations During
my internship at the company, I realized that the layout of the production site was notreasonable, the safety for employees was not tightened, affecting the efficiency ofproduction activities With the unreasonable arrangement of production premises, ithas limited the capacity and ability of workers and employees in the company Inorder to meet the goals and tasks in the new period, it is necessary to perfect the layout
of the production site of the Japanese joint stock company Therefore, my groupdecided to choose the topic "Layout of production premises of Japanese joint stockcompanies" as their subject report

CHAPTER 1 THEORETICAL BASIS
1.1 Related concepts
Trang 10CHAPTER 1 THEORETICAL BASIS
1.1 Related concepts
1.1.1 Production concept
Production is the process of transforming inputs into outputs The purpose of thistransformation is to create added value to provide to customers Inputs to thetransformation process include human resources, capital, technology, raw materials,land, energy, and information The outputs of the transition are products, services,wages, and environmental impacts
1.1.2 The concept of production premises
Production premises are spaces that include factories, workshops, material storageareas and production facilities, and from there form the production line according to acertain scale and arrangement .With a reasonable production ground will help theproduction process take place more smoothly
1.1.3 The concept of layout of production premises in the enterprise
+ Is the process of organizing, arranging, spatially formatting machines, equipment,working areas, parts for production and service provision
+ Is the process of organizing, arranging and formatting in terms of space reflectingthe content of the layout of the production site In other words, Layout is theorganization and arrangement of objects according to a certain structure to serveproduction and business activities of an enterprise
+ Objects of arrangement: Machines and equipment, working areas, parts forproduction and service provision
+ Arrange the premises according to the above contents and objects to ensure that theproduction and business activities of the enterprise take place smoothly and with highefficiency
1.2 Contents of the layout of the premises
1.2.1 The role of production layout in enterprises
VIII
As an important content of production management, directly affecting the efficiency
of production and business activities of enterprises, if the layout of productionpremises is reasonable, it will have the following specific roles:
+ Reduce unnecessary production costs and time, thereby increasing labor
Trang 111.2.1 The role of production layout in enterprises
VIII
As an important content of production management, directly affecting the efficiency
of production and business activities of enterprises, if the layout of productionpremises is reasonable, it will have the following specific roles:
+ Reduce unnecessary production costs and time, thereby increasing laborproductivity, saving production costs, and improving production efficiency ofenterprises
+ Make the most of resources in production to fulfill the business goals of theenterprise
+ Create a stable and favorable working environment for production and therebycreate a good working mentality for employees
+ Make an important contribution to the implementation of technological processes ofproduction and business of enterprises, implementation of regulations on workingregimes and labor safety
1.2.2 Forms of layout of production premises
Layout of production space by product
The product-oriented layout is designed to accommodate several types of products,and the material flow is arranged through the factory This type of layout usesspecialized machinery and equipment to perform special operations over a long period
of time for a product, changing these machines for new product designs is costly andtime consuming large arrangement Machinery and equipment are often arranged intoproduction departments, in each production department, there are many productionlines Workers in the product-oriented layout perform a narrow sequence ofmovements on several product designs over and over
In this production layout the premises can be arranged in a straight line or a U-shapedline as follows:
23
7 6
5 4
Advantages:
- Fast product production speed;
Figure 1 Layout plan of production space by product
Trang 121

Advantages:
- Fast product production speed;
- Low unit cost of product;
- Specializing in labor, reducing costs, training time and increasing productivity;
- The movement of materials and products is easy;
- High level of equipment and labor usage;
- Forming habits, experiences and having a stable production schedule;
- Easy in accounting, quality control, inventory and high controllability ofproduction
- High cost of maintaining machinery and equipment;
- The incentive regime to increase individual labor productivity cannot be applied
Layout of production space according to the process
Process layout, also called functional layout or technology layout, is essentiallygrouping similar jobs into parts that have the same process or function Products in themanufacturing process move from one part to another according to the sequence ofsteps to be performed on it
Advantages :
- Highly flexible in terms of equipment and people
- Small initial equipment investment
- Enhancing professional qualifications
- Diverse work makes workers not bored
Limit:
- High unit production cost
- Inefficient transportation
X
Figure 1 Layout plan of production space by product
- Unstable production planning and scheduling
- Difficult to check and control the work
- Low productivity because the jobs are not the same, each time a worker changes, ittakes effort to learn a new job
Trang 13- High unit production cost.
- Inefficient transportation

- Unstable production planning and scheduling
- Difficult to check and control the work
- Low productivity because the jobs are not the same, each time a worker changes, ittakes effort to learn a new job
- The level of equipment usage is not high
- Low unit cost of product;
1.2.3 Layout of production premises according to fixed position
Advantages:
- Reduce transportation to reduce damage and transportation costs;
- Products do not move so there is more continuity in the assigned workforce withouthaving to re-plan and redeploy every time a new activity starts
Limit:
- Requires highly skilled workers;
- Transporting workers, machinery and equipment to the workplace can be costly
- Low use of machinery and equipment
1.2.4 Layout of production premises in mixed form
In practice, it is common to use mixed layout forms with a combination of those forms
in different degrees and forms This type of layout will promote the advantages and atthe same time limit the disadvantages of each type of layout above
The ideal is to choose a layout system that is both flexible and low in productioncosts Mixed layouts:
- Mixed layout between process layout and product layout
- Producer cells
- Arranged by technology group
- Flexible production system
1.3 Factors affecting the layout of production premises
The choice of production site location and layout is determined by many factors suchas:
+ Characteristics of the product: The product has a decisive factor in the selection ofthe production site, from the product to the selection of an appropriate storage
XIenvironment, and from the selection of a reasonable process to produce the product,from That estimates the required area and layout of production premises
+ Production volume and speed: The volume of products will make decisions aboutmachines in the production process, about fuel sources, from which to design

+ Characteristics of equipment: Production equipment also determines the storagespace and floor area And with each device having its own use, classify and arrangeinto production processes
+ Ground area: Based on the selected area to divide the area and form the mostreasonable layout with the inherent area
+ Ensuring safety in production: When arranging production premises, it is alwaysnecessary to uphold safety issues in production, ensuring that the production processwith machinery and equipment does not affect health and safety workers' lives, andavoid technical errors that cause fires, explosions, etc
+ Functions, tasks and relationships in the work of departments and production areas
of the enterprise
