Giới từ In

• Sử dụng giới từ In trong một không gian

kín Giới từ In cho chúng ta biết danh từ đang ở trong một không gian kín (bao quanh

hoặc đóng lại ở tất cả các phía) Về cơ bản, khi một cái gì đó ở bên trong một cái gì

đó.

Ex :

1 In a box: Trong một hộp.

2 In a room: Trong một căn phòng.

3 In a country: Trong một quốc gia

• Sử dụng giới từ In trong Tháng, Mùa, Năm, Thế Kỉ và Giai

Đoạn Dài Giới từ In cho chúng ta biết danh từ đang ở trong một thời gian nào đó (Tháng nào,

năm nào, thế kỉ thứ mấy hay trong một giai đoạn dài nào đó).

Ex :

1 In april : Vào tháng năm

2 In the summer : Vào mùa hè

3 In 1990 : Vào năm 1990

4 In 1990s : Vào những năm 1990

5 In the next century : Trong thế kỉ tiếp theo

6 In the ice age : Trong kỉ băng hà

7 In the past / future : Trong quá khứ/Tương lai

Giới từ On

• Sử dụng giới từ On trên một cái gì đó

Giới từ On cho chúng ta biết rằng danh từ sau đây nằm trên một bề mặt

Ex :

1 On the table : Trên bàn.

2 On the floor : Trên sàn nhà

3 On the chair : Trên ghế

• Sử dụng giới từ On cho ngày

Giới từ On cho chúng ta biết rằng đấy là một ngày nào đó

Ex :

1 On sunday : Vào ngày chủ nhật

2 On monday : Vào ngày thứ hai

3 On cristmas day : Vào ngày giáng sinh

4 On my birthday : Trong ngày sinh nhật của tôi

Giới từ At

• Sử dụng giới từ At tại một điểm

Giới từ At cho chúng ta biết rằng danh từ sau được đặt tại một điểm hoặc vị trí cụ thể

Nó cho thấy một vị trí chính xác

Ex :

1 She’s waiting at the entrance: Cô ấy đang đợi ở cửa ra vào

2 He’s sitting on his chair at his desk: Anh ấy đang ngồi trên ghế ở bàn làm việc.

3 I work at a bank: Tôi làm việc tại một ngân hàng.

• Sử dụng giới từ At tại một thời gian chính

xác

Giới từ At cho chúng ta biết đó là vào thời gian nào, mấy giờ, mấy phút Về cơ bản,

nó cho ta biết một thời gian chính xác.

Ex :

1 At 6 o’clock :Lúc 6 giờ

2 At 4:30 : Lúc 4 giờ 30 phút

Chú ý sử dụng giới từ In/ On/

At trong tiếng Anh

Việc sử dụng giới từ at để biểu thị thời gian trong các biểu thức tiêu chuẩn sau đây :

Lưu ý rằng trong một vài người Anh nói “on the weekend” và “on

Lưu ý việc sử dụng các giới từ chỉ thời gian in và on trong

các biểu thức phổ biến sau:
