ACK NOWL EDGM ENT Firstly, I would love to express my deep thankfulness to Mrs Truong Thi Diep Mai the director of Isee English Center, for accepting me as an apprentice in the center and creating all good conditions for me to fulfill all of my tasks during the internship

Secondly, I would like to express my great gratitude to my honorable teacher, Mrs Nguyen Thi Xuan Binh, who supported me with proper guidance, sincere comments, and advice, and led me the right way to conduct my internship report

This report is a short description of my two-month internship carried out as

the students to prepare for professional competence to enter the working environment

At the beginning of the internship, I formulated several learning goals, which I wanted to achieve:

To understand the functioning and working conditions of the center;

To enhance my communication skills;

To see what is like to work in a professional environment;

To see if this kind of work is a possibility for my future career;

To use my gained skills and knowledge;

To learn about the organizing of a competition;

To get experience in working with persons from another culture

This internship report contains my activities and the learning goals achieved during the internship are described Finally, I give a conclusion on the internship experience according to my learning goals

1.2 Overview and History

The center was founded in June, 2016 and its first name was Isee Tutoring

Center The center specialized in tutoring students in subjects at school like

Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English and helping students prepare for the

national exam

The center was officially named Isee English Center in July 2018

specialization changed Now, the center offers beginning, intermediate and

advanced courses and is specialized in helping learners achieve English CEFR certificates with levels A2-B1-B2-C1.The center has about 6 courses, meanwhile they received 800 students in 2020

Isee English Center is gaining a strong place in the market, with 13 rooms in big sizes, experienced teachers, and skilled, enthusiastic staff For more than 5 years, they have been working on it Isee English Center is made up of three branches and two brands

1.3 Main tasks of the center

Isee English Center is a perfect combination of professional services and best teaching quality They have about 14 teachers, including both of Vietnamese and foreign teachers Vietnamese teachers were graduated from universities in Vietnam and have more than 5 years of experience Foreign teachers who come from The Philippines have experience teaching English in Vietnam

It provides many English programs such as: English for children, English under the 6 level foreign language capacity frameworks for Vietnam issued by the Ministry of Education and Training under Circular, TOEIC, IELTS, Communicative English and English for adult learning Each of programs targeted

to different segments of the market, which is divided by age, purpose of learning English and level of education The programs are ensured to bring

academic quality and dynamic learning environment

Especially, when a student comes to the Isee English Center, he/she will have a conversation with staff to get advice on how to improve their skills better and choose the suitable course

English Center to be the best English language center for training, being responsible, and also accompanying students in

Mission: build a professional studying environment, help students improve their knowledge, English skills

The working time is divided into two shifts: day shift and night shift The day shift starts to work at 7:30 am

2.2.2 Control Quality Team Introduction

Control quality team is under the management of the Deputy Director Training Development of Isee English Center, with four staff taking responsibility for examining, organizing mock exams, finding resources, and also monitoring students' learning through weekly reports

In addition, the quality control team plays an important role in the center They are responsible for organizing mock exams, finding materials, and also keeping

as the proctors in the center The team also discusses with the teachers to know the difficulties in the lesson Additionally, the team organizes tutoring classes to help students learn better

B THE INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES

1 Internship activities

I encountered fulltime working day all through my internship I joined as an internee in the Isee English Center I passed the whole spring three months there

with lots of new learning I had a tough time working yet it was perhaps the best inclination in my work life The workplace was excessively acceptable good

My internship program began from February 22nd to April 12th, 2021 at Isee English Center Overall, I have responsibility for following quality control of English A2 B1

1.1 The first week

A meeting was held by Mrs Truong Thi Diep Mai to plan assign what interns need

to do Thanks to the meeting, I learned how the Isse English Center is operared I visited 2 subsidiaries and I met the staff at the center Everyone was incredibly helpful, agreeable and friendly

Mrs Truong Thi Diep Mai is the director of the center, the manager of the internship group She appointed me to work with Mr Tam, the leader of the quality control team Beside of Mr Tam, I also had chance to work with Ms Kim Anh , Ms Tuyen, Mr Sang Although they were quite busy with their jobs, they still managed their time and helped me find the answers for all my questions

I had a great starting week of my internship because Ms Kim Anh devotedly guided me She showed me what I needed to do and how to do it The whole week was about watching the way the employees used the printer and the photocopier and understanding documents of the center Besides, I learned how to control students' attendance and homework through the system at the center

1.2 The second and third week

In the second week and third week, I was assigned to make the practice tests and then update them to the test software Actually, this work was quite new to me At first, I was instructed by the leader of the quality control team about the test software On the second day of the second week, Ms Kim Anh taught me how to

create a test by using the test software Making a test on a software required that I had to be careful and accurate

1.3 The fourth and fifth week

In the fifth week, I was assigned to observe class A2 -B1 to know how to teach and the way students learn and their attitude to their studying This helped the quality control team keep track of the students Beside of observing the students and the teachers, I also had chances to work with people who were responsibility for the center's facilities The leaders of the center focus not only on improving teaching skills but also developing the facilities

In the fifth week, I attended some classes which I watched over professional

After observing and attending teaching, I learned many valuable things to myself that I had never had before Although I had not taken a pedagogy course, when I attended some classes, I learned how to transmit knowledge from student to students; I learned how to interact with students, the way to write on the broad, and the way to improve communication skill

In the third period of the internship, I attended the class A2K106 teacher so

lovely and friendly; the students have good spirit in group-work; the environment was funny and exciting and students were enthusiastic to raise their hands to

Moreover, teacher gave out instruction clearly and observed students carefully Teacher also gave out the skills and techniques clearly

This is the last time I attended to the class A2K93, I felt more confident than the first time The teacher made the class lively and interesting by showing them pictures or video clips related to the lesson; Students were enthusiastic to raise

1.4 The sixth week the eight week

On the sixth and eighth, our intern group had a chance to organize an English speaking contest for students It lasted 2 weeks The contest was titled "Speak and Fix" Thanks to organizing the contest, I got some valuable experience of working with foreign teachers In addition, my communication skills greatly improved Learning how to make a detailed plan for a project is also one of the valuable things I learned from holding a contest or an event which the center assigned me

1.4.1 Operation Roles

Through the internship, beside of being assigned to observe class A2 -B1, I spent most of time on writing articles and Fix I also did normal office work such as categorizing documents, some paper works as well as preparing needed

business activities Furthermore, I invested my leisure time to preparing a topic

The Speak & Fix competition (contest) brings many benefits to the students studying at Isee Firstly, the students consolidate the grammar points and widen vocabulary Secondly, students improve their pronunciation and know how to use intonation in a sentence Besides, they speak English better and more confidently Finally, they have a passion for learning English
