During the internship, I personally experienced a lot of useful things, learned alot of experiences and especially I received a lot of support and help from thestaff working at the An Giang Fruit-Vegetable and Foodstuff joint stockcompany

I would like to send my thanks to the Company’s help and enthusiastic supportfor me to complete the internship process And I would like to thank theinstructor - Mr Nguyen Ngoc Thien Tam for directly guiding, providingdocuments, helping me in the internship process

I sincerely thank Ms Do Thi Ngoc Nhi – instructor teacher guided the topic,supported and guided me throughout the process of drafting the outline andhelped me in the process of completing the report by using wholeheartedlycomment so that I can complete the course with the best results

A OBJECTIVES

After spending 4 years in learning in Faculty of Foreign Language at AGU, everystudent has their own certain amount of knowledge in English translation andinterpretation However, there is no environment for students to practice andexchange capital English skills Therefore, 2 months of internship is a veryimportant experience for every last year student Completing an internship canhelp students apply what they had studied but now are applying to a real-worldsetting Because students will be mentored by a seasoned professional duringinternship, they can see what the job is like and gain insight into what a career inthat field entails

Besides, students can gain more experience by completing internship Mostemployers want their interview candidates to have some experience If thecandidates never held a job, the resume may not appeal to many employers.Having an internship on resume gives students a chance to gain the neededexperience and to build their resume

Last but not least, through an internship, students can increase your knowledgeand skills The purpose of an internship is also to help students make usefulconnections The instructor during the internship may become mentors, who canprovide helpful information and who can help guide them After graduationinternship, each student will have the professional skills in their future job

This report will focus on three main parts Firstly, I will introduce ANTESCOcompany and the department where I practice Second, I will describe my content

of work when I practice Finally, I will give conclusions about what I learnedduring this internship and my recommendation to ANTESCO Company and AnGiang University for the next course of students

1 General information about the company

• Name of company: An Giang Fruit-Vegetables & Foodstuff Joint Stock

• ANTESCO company is one of Vietnam’s Leading companies thatspecializes in producing and exporting the frozen IQF and canned tropicalvegetables and fruits.

• ANTESCO has three factories (My An factory, Binh Khanh factory andBinh Long factory) applying the European advanced technology andquality controlled by ISO 22000; SEDEX; BRC FOOD; GLOBAL GAP,

FDA, KOSHER; HALAL;… with the total annual capacity over 20,000tons ANTESCO has been trading with many countries: USA, Canada,

EU, Japan, etc

2 Company’s history landmarks

1975: An Giang Agricultural Materials Company, predecessor: The An Giang

Agricultural Technology Service Company (supplying materials, fertilizer,pesticides, equipment and spare parts of machines used in agriculture)

1986: The An Giang Agricultural Technology Service Company was established

basined on merging 03 agricultural companies in An Giang Province(Agricultural Materials Company, Agricultural Mechanical Sub-Department andPlant Protection Sub-Department) herein after called ANTESCO

1992: The company attained Establishment Decision no 530/QDUB dated 02

November 1992 issued by People’s Committee of An Giang Province, in whichthe company was transferred from stated-owned unit to state company with initial

of VND 7,248,217,000

1994: ANTESCO established the factory of processing agricultural products,

vegetables and food for exporting

1999: ANTESCO expanded its investment continuously to build frozen plants

with modern equipment and on processing lines imported from USA andDenmark in capability of 10,000 tons/year

2008: The company invested in factory process by-product from peel of

vegetables for pelleting into foodstuff for cattle with initial capability of 2,400tons finished products/year to handle waste from vegetable production andenvironment issues as well

2011: In June 2011, pursuant to Decree no 109/2007/ND-CP dated June 2007 of

the government, The An Giang Agriculture Technology Service Companytransferred officially into An Giang Fruit-Vegetables & Foodstuff Joint StockCompany

2015: ANTESCO invested 7 million USD to build the third frozen plant with the

most modern equipment and processing lines imported from EU with capacity12,000 tons/year

2 Research and Development

Develop and direct the implementation of research & development,training programs and application of science and technology inbusiness activities

- Research, design and deploy products that effective in

accordance with the strategic goals of the Company:

o Establish research plan, design and deploy products monthly,

quarterly and annually

o Search for new ideas related to design, design, name, materialsused, to build research plans and develop Company’s product-oriented research plans and strategies

o Organize, receive, collect and process product and pricing

information from within and outside the Company

o Access to information about new products, technologies to research a design solution for new products, and improve existing products.

o Research, manufacture and test new products in the form of design,prototyping and preparation in the laboratory, thereby building apreliminary system of standards or technical norms

o Review and make adjustments related to product design,

chemistry in the production process

- Control quality standards system, measurement means and

equipment for the process of product inspection and acceptance

- Manage, ensure that the output of the product meets the requirements,quality standards accordance with regulations by setting up a process,product quality control planning, professional guidance, directing,monitoring, testing and evaluating units in creating products that meetthe product quality requirements according to standards; by givingguidance for capacity building units to self-check product quality andhandle non-conforming products (if any) after each production stage;

-Control and direct to handle nonconforming products

Give plans, advise to propose to the Company’s General Director fordetermining quality objectives for each type of product, solutions toimprove product quality to meet customers needs;

- Host product quality improvement seminars and conferences annually.Participate in building technical and economic norms, productdevelopment process; training quality control staff process;

- Scientifically organize the documents and data management andstorage for professional and promptly operations, specifically andaccurately respond to information requests for the Company’s GeneralDirector.

- Annually, participate in building the Company’s quality goals andorganize the implementation, control and evaluation of the results ofimplementing quality objectives within the functions, duties andjurisdictions as assigned by the Company’s General Director
