During the internship period at iSEE International Foreign LanguageCenter (iSEE English), we have learned a lot of precious experience andlessons along with hard skills and soft skills We also have a chance to workwith the foreign teacher and more skills are improved day by day whileworking with experienced staff Therefore, the precious experience we learnedfrom the internship will be an efficient support for our future occupation

First of all, we want to express our gratitude towards An Giang University(AGU) directly under Vietnam University Ho Chi Minh City in general and theFaculty of Foreign Languages, all of the English lecturers in particular They haveintroduced and created a chance for students to work with many companies

Secondly, we can not complete the internship report without ourinstructor Mrs Nguyen Thi Xuan Binh who teaches and helps us write thereport with her care and effectiveness Under her guidance, all the difficultiesare solved and our report is completed successfully

Thirdly, we are honestly grateful to become an intern at iSEE English,particularly, our mentor and Director of iSEE English Mrs Truong Thi DiepMai, Mr Pham Bao Thach, Mr Huynh Huu Tam, Ms Duong Kim Anh, Ms.Dinh Ngoc Duong Tuyen, and other teachers and staff have helped and taught

us a lot during the internship

Last but not least, we can not forget to express our thankfulness to ourfamilies and friends who mentally supported and encouraged us From that wehave the motivation and are ready to learn from the workplace

To sum up, this internship is an amazing opportunity for us to learn andexperience, taking this advantage of this basic step to work in manycompanies in the future without hesitation

 ABSTRACT

Graduation internship is a compulsory unit of the curriculum to applyall of the knowledge collected in four years to the reality And so that will helpstudents prepare to work in a professional working environment, helpingstudents to determine their own direction in the future after experiencing inreal-life working experience

Furthermore, students’ soft skills and hard skills are also improvedduring the time they are working as an intern and ready to work with manyother professional work places after graduation

As we know from the beginning, the internship is an opportunity for us

to apply theories into the reality, and create a basic step for students to work

in real-life environment

The internship would contain many purposes after finishing:

 Helping students approach working environment and from thatthey have a chance to compare the knowledge they learned atschool and reality

 Creating an opportunity for students to get used to working manners, aware of work place’s discipline

 Being considered as a record of achievement knowledge during the intern period

 Using this internship report as a milestone to confirm what our ability is missing and need to improve in the future

In iSEE English, it is consisted of six English courses that students can choose for their suitable purposes:

o iKIDS – English for children (children from 4 to 15 years old)

o A2, B1, B2 – English Certificate according to Ministry of

Education and Training

o TOEIC 400 – 750

o IELTS 3.5 – 6.5

o iTALK – English Communication

o iBASIC – Regain the basic English

Moreover, iSEE English also has an iSEE Testing Software for students

so that they may approach English Testing System called VSTEP and practicedoing other tests on the computer easily iSEE Testing Software is a testingsystem created by iSEE English which has a similarity to VSTEP TestingSystem on a computer up to 99% and other form of testing, it helps studentsget acquainted with having a full four skills English test on a computerbecause the form of testing on the computer has become more popular in theage of technology

2 History of iSEE English:

iSEE International Foreign Language Center was established in June

2016, starting with iSEE Tutoring Center teaching Mathematics, Physical,Chemistry, English, as the main field and helping students prepare for theUniversity Exam

Since 2017, iSEE Tutoring Center has changed their name to iSEEEnglish Center and taught students for English Certificates, many Englishcourses from basic to advanced levels have been opened since 2018 to meetthe needs of many students when English has become more popular andessential for people’s work

Nowaday, iSEE English is focusing on teaching method and student’sand teacher’s quality as well since more and more classes are being opened toprovide the student’s needs Consequently, iSEE is proceeding in openinganother new department which attaches special importance to supervise theinput and output of English in every student and as well as teachers

II Quality Control Management:

1 Introduction:

Under the Education and Training Department in iSEE English, QCTeam plays an important part in ensuring and following the students’capability in studying English after having a course in iSEE English

The team will work daily from Monday to Saturday with three working shifts

at 7:30 am-11:30 am, 1:30 pm- 5 pm, and 5 pm- 9 pm In the daytime, theteam will be responsible for paper work, and work with students and teachers

in the nightime when most of the courses opened

2 Quality Control Management’s Missions:

Ensuring students’ ability after studying in iSEE English is the mostimportant duty that makes the appearance of this team Hence, several missionswere born to support this duty and the main person who is responsible for theteam is Mr Nguyen Huu Tam The team will survey teachers and students inevery classes about many aspects from studying quality to infrastructor quality,they will collect the information which is needed for the survey, and proceed toimprove, replace and upgrade everything

Therefore, teachers may impart with students in their own best way inthe newest method and in the most comfortable teaching environment; andstudents in iSEE English can study in the best environment, get moreconfidence and have enough knowledge to participate in VSTEP, otherdiplomas, and attain the main goal that students are aiming at

Besides, the QC Team will administer the iSEE Testing Softwareincluding providing the examination and their result, managing the students’study process such as homework and attendance rate in class, supporting inpreparing VSTEP’s and other exam documents for students

B INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES

I Internship activities:

Our internship period took place in two months from February 22nd toApril 18th, 2021 in iSEE English Center after Tet Holiday ended In the firstmonth, we experienced most of the work in QC team and co-ordinated withthe Marketing Staff to organize the Speak and Fix Contest in the secondmonth, we had a chance to work with the foreign teacher in iSEE English

Before the internship period started, we had a meeting with our mentor– Ms Mai to introduce and inform our work in iSEE English after Tet Holiday

so that we may focus on working quickly Accordingly, when the Tet Holidayended, we were introduced, got used to the team’s mission as we haddiscussed and separated by our mentor in the week before Tet, we worked andsupported staff in QC team while more courses and examinations were beingopened; for this reason, the amount of work increased rapidly

1 The first week: ( from 22nd to 28th February)The first day of our intern time was the day iSEE English re-openedafter Lunar New Year holiday, so we spent time to clean up the work place.While we were cleaning the work place, we had an oppoturnity to have aglance through the office equipment and document, and from that we had aclearer look about our mission in a few following weeks Moreover, ourmentor – director was Ms Mai had a small talk with us to shortly describeabout our job in iSEE English along with work place’s rule and she hoped that

we would have a good time during the intern period In addition, we alsoparticipated in company’s first meeting after Lunar New Year, we were metand introduced to all the staff in iSEE English

The following days, we searched and learned about the class system inbranches, inserted student’s data to the computer, supported student’shomework in class, studied how to run iSEE Testing Software and preparedequipments and exam to support student doing the mid-course test.

2 The second and third week: ( from 1st March to

14th March)

We attended every classes in many kinds of courses and full of fourEnglish skills were taught by different teachers As an observer, we study aboutteaching methods and teacher’s attitude toward students, the way studentsconcentrate to lessons, their attitude and the understanding lesson level, we alsoasked some students about teacher’s quality to have a closest information.Subsequently, we checked the class’s quality to see that if the atmostphere washot or the light was bright enough, the television and speaker would work well,tables and chairs were still good or not; all in all, everything which is needed as ateaching instrument would be checked carefully If there were any problems, wewould record and report those to the team, afterwards, they will make a plan or alist to report those to the supervior to seek the solutions

Besides, Mr Tam helped us with giving instruction on how to scorestudents’ test, review some useful English grammar that was needed in scoringstudent test Not only that but we were also trained to sell courses to customerswho wanted to participate in iSEE English classes; from the information wegained after a small conversation with customers, we gave them a suitablecourse with a reasonable price and study schedule was included as well

3 The fourth to the eighth week: ( from March, 15th to April,

18th )

We collaborated with Marketing Staff to organize Speak&Fix Contest

2021 This program took place for one month (from March, 16th to April,

12th ) and this contest was for students in A2 courses from K86 to K103 iniSEE English The main aim for this contest is to help students have morecourage to speak English, improve their pronunciation and grammar, and bringpassion and confidence in English to students Thus, thirteenth students inevery A2 courses took part in Speak&Fix Contest and many of them preparedvery interesting topics, and that made our competition more diverse

In this contest, we prepared about the content for students’ speaking ifthe competitors could not prepare for themselves but we were still highlyappreciated if candidates joined in the competition with their own topic so that

we could help them improve their grammar Continously, we supportedstudents’ pronunciation; this will help them more confident in their speech
