S Be sure not to remove the other 4 bolts.

S If planning to reuse the camshaft timing gear, release the straight pin lock first, and then install the gear.

Re-NOTICE:

S Be careful not to drop washers into the cylinder head.

Standard thrust clearance:

0.050 to 0.090 mm (0.0020 to 0.0035 in.) Maximum thrust clearance: 0.090 mm (0.0035 in.)

If the thrust clearance is greater than the maximum, replace thebalance shaft housing and bearings If necessary, replace thebalance shaft

shown in the illustration

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the ance shaft housing and crankcase.

Keep the lower bearing and balance shaft housing together
