A Test specifications

1 Class profile

- The class has 40 students, including 18 boys and 22 girls 25% of the students in the class are excellent, 55% got good grades, and the other students are at average level

- Some students excel in grammar, some excel at listening and reading, while the majority of students weak at speaking

- The class has completed units 1 through 3, and the majority of students comprehend the lesson extremely well, some average students still struggle with utilizing the right forms of verbs in the present simple and present continuous Most students struggle to recall the rules, particularly when it comes to using verbs in the present simple in the third person Some excellent and good students did better than the average ones

- For reading skills, good students do not have difficulty reading the main ideas and grasping the information they need to know well because they have a rich vocabulary The remaining students have not mastered skimming skills, so they often try to read each word at a slow speed to find information Besides, they have difficulty in understanding the content and questions, poor grammar sometimes makes them answer incorrectly

- For listening skill, about 50% of students are bad in this skill Students cannot grasp the main idea and key words of the listening passage because they cannot keep up with the speed

of the speaker and lack vocabulary Therefore, students often lose focus when practicing this skill Another reason is that students mispronounce, which seems to greatly affect students' listening skills

- For writing skills, they have difficulty in making coherent and coherent sentences, using linking words, word structure and word order Besides, they also repeat words a lot, especially lack of ideas for writing articles, as well as do not know how to write supporting sentences, leading to many paragraphs that are not closely linked

- The score of good students is usually from 8 to 9 points, good students from 6 to 7 points and average students from 3 to 5 points
