1 Scope

!This Eur opean Stan ard is a plca le to fas ening systems in C teg r ies A –E as spe ified in

EN 1 48 -1:2 1 , 3.1, for use on concr ete sle pe s in b l as ed track with max imum ax le lo ds, and

minimum cur ve r adi as shown in Ta le 1

5 Requirements

5.1 Long itudinal r ai restr aint

The longitu inal r ai r s raint shal be not les than 7 kN when measur d b the proc d r e in

EN 1 146-1 F r use in categor y D fastening systems ( > 2 0 km/h), the long itu inal r ai r s raint shal

be not les than 9 kN

On s ructur es such as long bridges, the long itu inal for e transmitted between the track an the

s ructur ma be calculated b the method in EN 1 9 -2 The value of Fma

5.2 Tor ional r esistance

5.3 A ttenuation of impact loads

F r fas ening systems descr ibed as ha ing medium or hig h atten ation of dynamic lo ds this shal be

measur ed b the proc d r in EN 1 146-3 using the type of sle pe ( mono-block or two block) on

which the fas ening is to be used The r sult shal comply with the folowing lmit :

— medium aten ation ≥ 1 % to ≤ 3 %;

— high atten ation > 3 %

5.4 Pad and as embly stifnes
