This standard is issued under the fixed designation F 1950; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year of

1 Scope
1.1 This specification covers the requirements for
informa-tion that shall supplement the sale or transfer of ownership of
an amusement ride or device
1.2 This specification applies only to amusement rides and
devices, which have previously been in operation, and which
are being sold or transferred as a used amusement ride or
device
2 Significance and Use
2.1 The purpose of this specification is to provide to the new
owner of an amusement ride or device, available information
for the identification, placement, erection, operation, and
maintenance of the amusement ride or device
3 Information Requirements
3.1 Seller’s Responsibility:
3.1.1 The seller of a used amusement ride or device shall
provide to the new owner existing manufacturer’s
documenta-tion, in seller’s possession
3.1.2 The seller of a used amusement ride or device shall
provide to the new owner written notice of major modifications the seller has made or caused to be made, and component operational and maintenance manuals in the seller’s posses-sion
3.2 Purchaser’s Responsibility:
3.2.1 The purchaser of a used amusement ride or device shall notify the original manufacturer of the ride or device being purchased of the change in ownership of the ride or device
3.2.2 The purchaser shall request from the original manu-facturer all updated owner, operational, and maintenance manuals and service bulletins
3.3 Manufacturer’s Responsibility:
3.3.1 The original manufacturer of the used amusement ride
or device being sold shall make available, upon request by the purchaser, owner, operational, and maintenance information along with updates, if any
3.3.2 The original manufacturer of the used amusement ride
or device being sold shall make available to the purchaser information regarding any major modifications made to the ride or device, which the manufacturer authorized or otherwise performed on the ride or device
