Leading to excessive emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs), especially CO2,caused by the use of fossil energy for energy production, the global renewable energydemand is anticipated to develop significantly during the forecast period Furthermore,the scale of the renewable energy market is rising as government policies on climatechange become more stringent in both developed and emerging economies.Soon, this

is a potential field to be exploited and developed

Realizing that, V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power Joint Stock Company was born as acompany with the core business of solar and wind power Besides, the company alsopromotes other business fields such as wholesale of automobiles and other motorvehicles; wholesale of other machinery, equipment and spare parts, etc

To do the job well, the company's employees need to know businesscorrespondence, customs procedures, and international payment and have good foreignlanguages After a long search, I had the opportunity to come to the company topractice and gain useful experience

STOCK COMPANY 1.1 General introduction about V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power Joint Stock Company

1.1.1 General information about V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC

V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC was established on September 15, 2015 with aninitial charter capital of 50,000,000,000 VND (Fifty billion Vietnam Dong) Thecompany Enterprise Registration Certificate No 0106992731 was issued by the HanoiDepartment of Planning and Investment

1.1.2 Vision and Mission of V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC

1.1.2.1 Vison

In response to pressure from the increased demand for energy, while fossil fuelresources are exhausted, energy transition is an essential goal of many countries andregions worldwide Not only helping to ensure the energy needs as well as energysecurity of each country, but the development of renewable energy is also an importantsolution to cope with the ongoing global climate change

Vietnam has great renewable energy potential such as solar energy, wind power,hydropower, etc Biomass and geothermal electricity are also renewable energy sourcesthat can be exploited well in Vietnam Meanwhile, the Government has also activelydeveloped policies to support the development of the solar power industry, attractinvestment to develop this industry, and help the state ensure energy security andeconomic development

Since its establishment in 2015, V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC operates withthe core business of solar and wind power, so far has made its mark with a series oflarge projects of high quality and aesthetics V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC alwaystries its best to plan, implement and control its main production and business activities,which are trading in supplies, materials, equipment, spare parts and renewable energyproducts The company also has delivery and cargo handling services Besidesmanufacturing, V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC also promotes other business fieldssuch as wholesale of automobiles and other motor vehicles; wholesale of othermachinery, equipment and spare parts, etc

To build and develop a renewable energy ecosystem, V.C.P Vietnam CleanPower JSC is expected to make more contributions in the fight against climate change,and continue to accompany many families and businesses to protect the environmentand ecosystem

1.1.2.2 Mission

In terms of missions, V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC always tries its best toplan, implement and control business activities to make a profit doing the followingfour things The first one is to well implement policies and decisions on personnelmanagement and environmental protection, and strictly abide by the provisions of thelaw The second one is to ensure accumulated profits to expand production andbusiness The third one is to improve the living condition and quality of healthcare andmental healthcare services for employees in the company And the last one is to realizethe vision and mission of the company and contribute to the general development ofthe Hai Phong economy in particular and Vietnam's economy in general

The company's organizational structure is organized by function, headed by theBoard of Directors, then by functional departments such as the Business Department,

HR – Administration Department, and Accounting Department

Duties of each department in the company:

 Director:

The director is responsible for deciding on the company's business directiongoals, annual business plan and new investment decisions Director has theresponsibility to offer solutions to promptly handle risks that may occur during thecompany’s operation, give suggestions for improvement related to the company’sservices, and create reports and report directly to superiors on the operation

 Business Department:

This department has the task of understanding and exploiting the market andconsumers; selecting the best suppliers for the company; receiving and processingrequests from customers, etc., and collecting information from the market to help thecompany make the most reasonable decisions and adjustments

 Human Resources – Administration Department:

HR - Administration Department is responsible for recruiting, arrangingpersonnel for positions in the department, managing wages and working days ofemployees, recruiting, and properly implementing regimes for employees Thisdepartment also generally manages administrative tasks such as companycorrespondence, stationery management, and company announcements

 Accounting Department:

This department organizes activities on financial planning and accounting work

of the company following the provisions of Vietnamese law, accounts for revenues and

expenditures, manages debts, and manages the company’s incoming and outgoinginvoices Accounting Department also makes reports and works with tax authorities.

1.1.4 The company's field of business

Since its establishment, V.C.P has acquired a certain position in the market According

to the business registration, V.C.P operates with very diverse business lines,specifically as follows:

Renewable energy: Import and export materials, goods, equipment and spare parts and

products in the field of renewable energy, mainly solar power

Delivery services: Services of transportation and cargo handling, office rental and

warehouse

Through years of operation, it can be seen that V.C.P Vietnam Clean Energy JSC

is gradually specializing in some key products and services such as

Food processing: Trading in food, foodstuffs, agricultural - forestry - aquatic products Manufacturing sector: Trading in materials, goods, equipment, spare parts and metal

products

The information given in the above table shows that the proportion of employeeswith university and college degrees has changed significantly:

Employees with university and higher degrees increased by 2 people (decreased

by 13.33%) in 2021 compared to 2020; 2022 has no change compared to 2021

College degrees increased by 4 people (increased by 40%) in 2021 compared to2020; in 2022, there is a decrease of 1 person (decreased by 7.14%) compared to 2021.Meanwhile, employees at the Professional Intermediate level and otherqualifications have generally increased over the past 3 years

It can be seen that, when going into stable business along with the expansion ofbusiness scale, the Company has a high demand for sales staff It is necessary to addmore employees with basic sales skills and not necessarily to have in-depth expertise.

1.1.6 The company's business results from 2020 to 2022

The information given in the above analysis accurately reflects the company'sbusiness performance in terms of revenue, profit and expenses, which tend to increase

in the past 3 years, despite the great influence of the Covid-19 pandemic

Based on the above data, we can see that the company's net revenue in 2021increased by 3.559,87 million VND, equivalent to 20.78%, and in 2022, increased by1,392,920 VND, equivalent to an increase of 6.73% Thus, the company's revenuetended to increase through the period of 2020-2022, and the growth rate tended toincrease gradually This was a sign that the company was on a good track to dobusiness

The cost of goods sold in 2021 increased by 11.5% compared to 2020 and theCOGS growth rate was lower than the net revenue growth rate This showed that thecompany had saved sales and production costs However, in 2022, the rate of increase

in COGS was not much different from the rate of net revenue growth because themarket was increasingly competitive, so the company had to invest in more modernmachinery, equipment and warehouses to help for doing business, consuming goodsand improving product quality

The company's gross profit target was increasing day by day However, thegrowth rate was not stable The company's leadership needs to come up with policies topromote the consumption of goods

Sales expenses in 2021 increased by 33.37%, but by 2022, they sharply increased

to 55.97% This proves that the company had expanded the construction scale to bringmore products to customers and boosted the profits that the business would gain

To discharge full financial obligations to the State of Vietnam, the company hasfully implemented and increased over the years, such as in 2020 the corporate incometaxes payable was 1.351,73 million VND, in 2021 it was 1.887,68 million VND, in

2022 it was 2.029,58 million VND

1.2 An overview of Marketing Department

 Duties of the Marketing Department:

 Building and developing brand image: building trust with customers andenhancing brand value

 Do research, product development and market expansion: Build a system tocollect and synthesize information on prices, products and competitors

 Analyze and evaluate information collected, thereby making decisions toimprove existing products or develop completely new products

 Proposing new ideas for new products, product design orientation, branding,product packaging Develop a market expansion strategy in line with businessdevelopment goals

 Establishing relationships with the media to ensure the est image of thecompany is presented to the public

CHAPTER 2: GENERAL INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

PROCESS

I started my internship at V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power Joint Stock Company onNovember 10, 2022 until January 31, 2023

2.1 Tasks performed during the internship

During my internship time at V.C.P Vietnam Clean Power JSC, I took theposition of Marketing Department This is a great opportunity for me to learn moreabout the knowledge, experiences and skills needed for a marketing intern, as well as

to familiarize myself with the working environment, working culture, and to buildgood relationships with colleagues Ms Tran Phuong Thao was my supervisor Sheprovided me with a lot of information regarding her work

In particular, I was assigned the following tasks to apprentice during theinternship such as:

 Observe experienced staff to gain experience and communicate with customers

 Write and reply to emails and letters from customers/ partners

 Take notes of the real process and the outstanding steps as well as fundamentalmistakes that need to be seriously considered when communicating with customers

 Receive training and explanation from the instructor in the MarketingDepartment

 Read and translate materials

 Arrange and classify marketing documents

 Copy, print, fax, materials and scan signatures into the computer

 Making daily reports

2.1.1 Writing and replying to partners’ emails or letters

This job requires regular communication with partners and foreign countriestherefore the ability to write email replies in English is extremely necessary Email inEnglish replies to partners can exchange information, and answer concerns andquestions about the business Thereby, partners can feel the professionalism andthoughtfulness of the company

These emails are about business inquiry letters, quotation letters, order letters orcomplaint letters, business contracts, product descriptions, etc

2.1.2 Making daily reports

After a workday, each intern has to make their report using the company’sGoogle Drive sheet Each one will have an account to access and have their worksheet

in Excel for example to fill out their tasks This tool will help the supervisor or themanager, as well as the CEO easily to control the KPIs of each team and individual inthe company.

2.1.3 Translating

As a student of the English faculty, it is indispensable to use English at work.Compared with the other Department, translating in Marketing Department is quiteoften The translation is used in two issues including email translation and texttranslation between the two languages

The sending of emails is part of the everyday life of companies, and the languageused may be an issue with this type of communication Therefore email translation isnecessary Email translation is related to product descriptions, emails about foreigncooperation, and potential launches As these emails are almost from the English-speaking countries (such as the UK, the US, Australia, etc), English - Vietnamesetranslation version is used more often The length of each email is usually about two tothree pages

The translated document is more complex than email translation because it relates

to detailed data All documents will be translated from English to Vietnamese for thegoal of understanding and obtaining information for the new marketing strategies andinternational commercials The length is about ten to twenty pages This task must behandled on time according to the supervisor’s requirements This task requires us tohave responsibility for our translation Translating specialized documents will help us

to widen the door of knowledge
