It can not be denied that English is an important language in the modernworld Because it is spoken at a useful level by some 1.75 billion people worldwide– that is one in every four (according to The English Effect Report of BritishCouncil) Therefore, learning and using English fluently is the goal that everyone isaiming for English centers were created to assist people in becoming fluent Englishspeakers

One of the centers, Rock 3T English Center, is well-known for the caliber ofinstruction and the commitment of staff and teachers to assisting kids in usingEnglish more effectively Although officially established for six years, all Rock 3Tstaff and teachers strive to develop and improve in order to create more valuablecontributions to society After one month of an internship at Rock 3T, I have gaineduseful knowledge and experience of teaching English With the support of mysupervisor and team leader, I got an overview of how an education company works.This practical and useful knowledge is luggage for me to be more confident whenactually entering the working environment later

I am thankful and grateful to the English lectures at Thuongmai Universityand the staff from Rock 3T for assisting me in completing this report I made aneffort to write this report, however, it would not have been feasible without theirsupport Because of the limited practice time, combined with limited skills, thereport contains a few errors I am looking forward to receiving information from theinstructors in order to make this report better

1 Information about ROCK 3T Tung Tran Company limited

1.1 General overview of the company

Rock 3T is an English center for children under Tung Tran Vietnam Co.,Ltd This center offers English courses for both students and professionals Rock 3Twas officially established in 2018 with the goal of becoming one of the best Englishcenters for children in Hanoi The founder of the center is Mr Tran Thanh Tung,who has many years of experience studying and working in the US The companyprovides educational services both online and offline

In addition, Rock 3T is well known for children from preschool through highschool After six years of establishment and development, Tung Tran Vietnam Co.,Ltd has two Rock 3T branches with more than 500 teachers teaching all over thecountry In which, Rock 3T is the first branch of Tung Tran Vietnam Co., Ltd

in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general and also meeting international

standards in education and training

● Design the learning path in accordance with the needs and conditions of eachstudent, with a range of academic programs from elementary to high school toensure the most effective learning outcomes

● Provide a professional learning environment both in-person and online, and create

a comfortable and convenient learning environment for self-study and self-practice

at home

1.4 Business field

English classes for a range of ages, from kids to adults, are the company'sprincipal commodity in the education sector The curriculum is built and developed

by the CEO, Tran Thanh Tung, and the staff of the R & D department The centersearches, edits and adds English materials such as English books, English comics,English videos, English listening books, English exercises to provide studentswith a cozy and intimate learning atmosphere.

The Center has two main forms of teaching: face-to-face classes and onlineclasses In-person classes are suitable for those who live near the center, whileonline classes are suitable for those who live far from the center and those whowork Online classes are held through the Zoom application with a model of 1teacher - 1 student Currently, the company only has one – to - one online classeswith adult learners to create the most favorable conditions for learning English

The center is divided into 2 levels: English for children and English foradults

● English for children: The main product is English programs for children.Programs are designed to suit different levels, including communication andgrammar The ages range from 4 to 15 years old, and they are divided into severaldifferent levels The entrance test will assign suitable students

● English for adults: Courses are built in accordance with adult goals, such as beingable to communicate fluently, having a solid English foundation to achieveinternational English certificates such as IELTS, TOEIC The commoncharacteristic of learners is that they all know a little about English and want toimprove their English However, because they have not used it for a long time, they

cannot speak English fluently or pronounce it correctly

1.5 Training program

As mentioned above, Rock 3T offers 2 types of training: online classes andoffline classes

● Online classes:

- Vocabulary and grammar: This program includes 3 levels from basic to advanced:

AA, BB, CC At each level, the topic of the lesson provides many new words with

illustrations and no Vietnamese meanings for students to use both listening andvisual memory skills In addition, BB and CC levels have common Englishquestions that help children get used to communicating in English and lay thefoundation for higher levels in the communication class Grammar is also compiled

to suit the students' level and is based on the national education curriculum at theprimary and lower secondary levels

- Communication: This program is divided into 3 levels, including levels 1, 2, and

3 Most of the participants in this course already have a basic understanding ofEnglish but lack responses to questions or have no idea how to answer the questioncompletely

- Communication for adults: This course is designed for people who have jobsrelated to English and need to improve their English for work purposes Classestake place in an online form to help students conveniently arrange their study time

● Offline class:

Offline classes are organized according to the age of the child The offlineclass model is 1 teacher, 1 teaching assistant, and about 15-20 students Thecurriculum for this class is designed with more vibrant activities and interactiveexercises

1.6 Organizational structure

The organizational structure of the business, including its departments anddivisions within branches, is depicted in the two figures below Rock 3T isattempting to grow and scale new branches on a daily basis while also specializing

in the work of departments

Looking at the structure image of the 3T Rock English Center, we can seethat the CEO is at the top Under the CEO position is the general manager.Additionally, it includes four departments, including those for HR, training,marketing & sales, and accounts

● CEO: Be responsible for running the business of the company, he makes thecompany’s strategic and operational decisions He is also responsible for ensuringthat the company meets its statutory obligations The CEO plays an important role

in managing the activities of departments in accordance with the company’sstrategy, which helps the company increase productivity and profit

● General Manager: Be responsible for managing the English center, includingenrollment, sales, and marketing People who work as Managers themselves need tounderstand their work as well as their responsibilities to the center

● HR Department: Responsible for recruiting people for the company, includingsalespeople, teachers, and marketers This is an important department because goodsales and marketing will bring a lot of revenue, and good teachers will bring a lot ofprestige

● Training Department: Manage the training program, as well as the quality ofteachers, modify the curriculum, and change the method when it is really necessary.The job of training manager includes: training new teachers; inspection, evaluationand quality assurance after the courses; and revise the syllabus after the courses forthe best quality

● Marketing & Sales Department: Be in charge of bringing the image of the center

to customers and society as a whole to create large and effective programs It is alsoresponsible for convincing customers to enroll and of course the sales managerholds a great responsibility in bringing success to the company

● R&D Department: Is responsible for researching all factors related to the productsand services of the enterprise such as nature, efficiency, and improvement ability, tocome up with the most suitable development plan to meet the needs of thecustomers Therefore, the personnel here must meet the conditions of qualifications,experience and skills in research and development of products, processes andtechnologies

● The Accounting department: Provides accounting services and manages thefinances of a company Their tasks include recording accounts, paying bills, billingclients and customers, tracking assets and expenditures, managing payroll, etc

This is the revenue table of Rock 3T English Center in 2 years (2021, 2022)

In general, the company had a slight growth despite being affected by the Covid-19pandemic Total revenue increased by 9.9% (677,429 thousand VND) Profit aftertax increased by 25.1% (106,117 thousand VND) Although the Covid - 19pandemic caused offline classes to be suspended, Rock 3T switched to onlineteaching in a stable way In the near future, the company aims to achieve 2 times theprofit in 2022

2 Information about internship’s department

At Rock 3T, the training room plays an indispensable role The training roomconsists of teachers, examiners and R&D Because it fits with my major andprofessional goals, I decided to do my internship in the training room I assume therole of an English instructor with a teaching role in particular Besides, I take part inthe role of the center's testing collaborator.

The training department has the role of training teachers, examiners anddeveloping the main curriculum content for all levels Each course has 3 tests: anentrance test, a midterm exam, and a final exam Every month, the trainingdepartment will hold an online meeting to train all teachers in the company oneffective teaching methods and how to handle common problems faced by studentsduring the course Teachers are often assessed in terms of both knowledge andskills Therefore, the training department will propose solutions for each differentcase Any feedback from teachers and judges will help the R&D team to create andimprove the curriculum for a better version

In short, the teaching position helps me gain more experience in teachingmethods as well as understand the psychology of students At the same time, theposition of test collaborator helps me to know the current status of English use andthe level of learners

1 Tasks performed during the internship

The purpose of education in universities and colleges is to prepare studentsfor careers as highly technical professionals for society, not just to impart theoryfrom textbooks I was therefore motivated and actively searching for employmentoptions that matched my objectives I applied for Rock 3T and am currently thecenter's official teacher after working three jobs that required English

During my internship at Rock 3T, I trained to become an English teacher forstudents in grade 5 through 10 I had the freedom to select the period of time andmode of instruction that suited my schedule Therefore, I have had the opportunity

to experience teaching both in person and online Because children make up theaudience, it is important for the presentation to be engaging and grab the pupils'attention I have created a strategy specifically for it and have been consideringwhat I can do to advance my knowledge and abilities in a setting that requiresprofessional labor

I did an internship from January 2nd, 2023 to February 10th, 2023 at Rock 3T

My assignments during the internship were arranged in the following manner:
