Chemical parameters: The amount of concentration of sulfuric acid is

determined by two important considerations:

1.) The ability of the solution to conduct electricity efficiently

2.) The ability of the electrolyte to dissolve the aluminum oxide coating

The balance that must be determined and maintained for consistency

Hot Sealing

Work pieces after anodizing has a sticky feel and highly

absorbent surface that readily stain

Hot sealing is used hot rinse as a dry-off , the following parameters

are significant:

1 Water temp.: the degree of sealing falls rapidly with temperature

2 Sealing time: major part of sealing occurs in the first 5-10 min

3 pH of the water: boehmite will not be formed at pH below 4.5
