2.3 Contribution of publications
The above includes only a portion of publications related to the topic Includes many domestic and foreign publications Ranges from extensive to detailed But looking at them shows somewhat the relationship between cultural heritage and tourism These research papers have presented and mentioned cultural heritage and tourism with many different contents and research directions However, there is no research paper on cultural heritage contributing to the development of tourism Maybe because the scope of the topic is quite broad and not specific But these studies help us see many aspects of the topic and provide the necessary knowledge to
Trang 7be able to build a more complete topic We can consult and learn more about the topic through these publications
3 Data methodology
3.1 Data collection
The data that the research uses is compiled from research papers, data from articles with topics related to the topic we are researching Besides the reference research of the publications, we also carry out the field survey to collect new information from current tourists by making questionnaires and interviewing, which are sent to 100 tourists including Vietnamese and foreigners The questionnaire consisted of 5 questions and two interview questions The numbers
of the questions asked are not too large so as not to take up too much of the tourist's time but still have enough necessary information for us to conduct the research
The methodology of this paper is based on the study of literature, research papers and reports on the importance of cultural heritage in tourism development In addition, the data that the research uses is compiled from research papers, data from articles with topics related to the topic we are researching
3.2 Data analysis
We will research the literature by reviewing the results of previous authors' findings based on those results to add things that we feel are not reasonable and supplement the results that we find
to improve the topic of the research The results from the questionnaires and interviews will be specifically analyzed into percentages to come up with new research results
Questionnaire
Question 1: Have you ever visited any Cultural Heritage sites of Vietnam?
According to our research, 88% of tourists who participated in our questionnaire
responded that they have visited at least one Cultural Heritage site in Vietnam, remaining 12%
Trang 8saying that they visited many tourist sites in Vietnam to discover the beauty as well as the culture
of the country
Question 2: Do you think these Cultural Heritage sites mean to the people and history of Vietnam?
Most of our survey participants answered yes They also added that through each cultural heritage site, they can better understand the history and people as well as the culture surrounding the destination, especially foreign visitors
Question 3: How important is cultural heritage for tourism development ? ( The answer is divided into 4 levels from not important to very important )
Based on the answers of 100 surveyed tourists, 70% of people think that cultural heritage plays a very important role in the development of tourism, 25% answered that it is important and 5% that cultural heritages are only a small part of the development of tourism
Question 4: What is your impression for the cultural heritage sites you visited ?
The answer received from foreign visitors is the impression of the historical and cultural significance hidden behind the architectural works As for Vietnamese tourists, they are impressed by the beauty of the constructions From here, we can see that foreigners tend to visit
to learn and discover while Vietnamese people tend to visit and enjoy art
Question 5: Will you revisit the sites in the near future?
We were expecting that many “yes” would be answered However, the survey results received up to 70% said that they will not come back and they will spend time in other places, 20% of them said yes if the tourism service was improved because they were quite disappointed with this trip The remaining 10% answered that they would return to their families, friends, relatives,…
1.1 Interview

Trang 9Based on the synthesis of opinions from the interview participants We summarize some
of the opportunities that cultural heritages help tourism to develop, including diversifying forms
of tourism, attracting tourists especially foreign tourists, creating income for the local people
Question 2: As a tourist what do you think we need to do to protect cultural heritage ?
For this question we received very positive answers from the tourists who participated in the interview They believe that each tourist should be responsible for his or her own behavior when visiting the monument Currently, the influence of tourists on major attractions is very large Besides the responsibility of the state, the tourism industry and the local people, tourists need to join hands to protect cultural heritages for the present and the future

In fact, cultural heritage has created attractiveness for tourist destinations Cultural heritage is a factor for tourists to choose a trip, an interactive environment and valuable experiences Promoting cultural heritage and developing tourism is a close and reciprocal relationship It can
be said that if tourism develops, it will create conditions for visitors to access cultural heritages
