in whatever format it might appear (Olalokun & Salisu 1993) In the 4.0 revolution, digital transformation is extremely important, especially in universities However, an accompanying consequence is that in the era of information explosion, it is not easy to find and exploit academic sources of reliable quality Making it impossible for the
traditional library to respond to current technological developments and the needs of readers. To respond to the development of today’s 4.0 technology, they have evolved fromtraditional libraries with paper content to smart libraries capable of providing any
scientific content in electronic content and fast form due to the development of
information and communication technologies
With the goal of transforming libraries to serve the community, UEH University has opportunities to be the first smart library in Vietnam Because of the importance of using smart libraries, UEH has applied this model for organizations and students. The UEH University has built the UEH Smart Library to attract students with conveniences from modern technology In condition, there are more than 398.000 books in the field of economics, of which 600 are from Harvard. The total capacity of the smart library in the Band N campuses is more than 1000 seats. The UEH Smart Library connect the database with more than 90 prestigious university publishers such as: Cambridge University, Oxford University The modernity of the UEH Smart library has responded to the
different needs and purposes when using the library of students The UEH Smart library offers conveniences such as quick document search, borrowing and returning books on the system, resting place or creating a meeting room. The use of UEH Smart libraries has attracted students' attention as well as being effective in their learning
Trang 4Therefore, our team conducts this research “The use of the UEH Smart library by UEH students” to improve and develop UEH Smart libraries.and attract UEH students to use UEH Smart library more.
Trang 51 PROBLEM STATEMENT
In the process of development and integration, in general, the library's mission functions have not changed In the context of limited resources, the people who work as the Smart Librarian of University has built and deployed a “Smart Library”
Accordingly, UEH Smart Library always accompanies learning activities, teaching and scientific research by investors in many collections of digital learning resources to ensure that teachers and learners access this resource anytime, anywhere in the most efficient way As of June 2020, academic resources at UEH has nearly 335,000 digital documents; in there 270,400 e-book titles and 11,000 e-journal titles are copyrighted by UEH that has been purchasing access to 08 databases provided by EBSCO and 01
Elsevier's database is ScienceDirect, 84,000 full-text documents and bibliographic recordsare contained in 133 databases selected by the Library from open educational resources, and over 15,000 full-text articles in endogenous databases ( UEH Repository) includes: theses, dissertations, research works and publications at home and abroad of the UEH community
UEH Smart Library is being built step by step on big data, applying artificial intelligence to analyze data, capture information needs and document orientation for users To do this, it is required that the organization and management of collections must strictly comply with international professional standards on classification, cataloging, connection and sharing of data Along with the digital transformation strategy in the management activities of the University, the UEH Library is no longer a place to store documents for teachers and learners to borrow textbooks or read books, newspapers, and magazines UEH Smart Institute is the beginning of "Smart Hub" - a space to inspire creativity and share knowledge of the UEH community
Because of the necessity and importance of the smart library, our team chose the research title: “The use of the UEH Smart Library by UEH students”
Trang 62 REASEARCH OBJECTIVES
2.1 Research subjects

Trang 76 CONCEPTS AND RELEVANT RESEARCHES
6.1 Concept
a) Smart library
The term “smart library” was coined by Aittola et al (2003) (Zimmerman and Chang, 2018) According to Cao et al (2018) In lucid language, a smart library is a library with a purpose to provide better and advanced services to the users The working definition of a smart library is the library, which renders its special services making use of electronic and communication technology
Zimmerman and Chang (2018) share their view about a smart library in the
following way: The smart library is the integration of books and related data, as well as digital and space resources, based on the realization of comprehensive informationization
of the library Use of a large data intelligent analysis platform, the library management and services are intelligent and personalized, and the reader needs are oriented to improvetheir experience Achieve this; the construction of a smart library requires the realization
of true full data exchange and the availability of a full-scale data-sharing center
b) Smart technology
Advanced technology (smart technology) is the foundation and premise of the smart library and can include wearable technology, mobile internet, intelligent processing technology, cloud computing, and virtual and ubiquitous technology The core of the current development of smart library technology is data mining, AI andthe IoT (Gaohui Cao et al., 2018)
Data mining has long been discussed within library studies Libraries have used data mining to assist management decisions (Cullen, 2005) Cox and Jantti (2012), at the University of Wollongong library, have joined library data to university demographic and academic performance data to show a strong correlation between library use and higher student grades Some researchers (Chen and Chen, 2007; Kovacevic et al.,2010;Tsai and Chen, 2008) have proposed using library data mining to provide recommender services
for library materials Data mining methods can produce individualized services for users –
Trang 8for example, by pushing information to them –and they can assist with decision-making
(Renaud et al., 2016) Furthermore, they can make links between different books (e.g between books on cookery and books on health), thereby creating a rich and
individualized resource for users (Renaud et al.,2016)
c) Smart services
Use oriented services and smart technological services like Selective
Dissemination of Information (SDI), the virtual reading room, providing information via mobile devices, cloud computing services and IoT-like interactive technologies, the applicability of artificial intelligence and various such innovative technologies (Summer
Traditional libraries can transform to smart libraries by strategic design and
implementation of advanced technologies, such as cloud computing, data mining and artificial intelligence, but they also need to consider service building, user cultivation and librarian training

7 Forty four percent students were worried that they have to face
problems in issuing books
8 Fifty four percent students indicated that the librarians do not
help the students in searching relevant books
9 Eighty one percent of the students indicated that the libraryhas the facility of computer/ internet but only for the librarians instead of them
10 Fifty seven of the students revealed that the environment of the library is not supportive and conducive for effective learning

- Student demographics
- Academic requirements
- Work habits
Across all four libraries, the study identified that students were actively engaged in academic pursuits utilizing multiple library resources while working with print and digital

-Technical factor-Educational factor
-Political factor-Economic factor
All the responses agreed at high level on the role of smart libraries in enhancing the sustainable development practices
-Smart technologies
- Smart users
- Smart services
The study confirms that smart libraries are becoming smarter with the emerging smart technologies, which enhances their working capabilities and satisfies the users associated withthem Implementing the smart technologies in the libraries has bridged the gap between the services offered by the libraries and the rapidly changing and competing needs of the humans

Based on the model of the relevance studies, the group has proposed a research model of the group:
Trang 15H3: Problems in using the UEH smart library has a significant impact on the intention of
using this library
9 SAMPLING
Sampling method: Select samples by convenience sampling in non- probability
sampling method to save cost and time
Sample size
According to Comrey & Lee (1992): n = 50 is very bad; n = 100 is bad; n = 200 is okay;
n = 300 is good, n = 500 is very good, n = 1000 or more is excellent
According to Tabachnick & Fidell (2007): n = 300 is appropriate
According to Roscoe (1974): The appropriate sample size is from 30 to 500
Trang 16Therefore, the study will use a sample size of 300 because it is consistent with the
recommendations of Roscoe (1974), Comrey & Lee (1992) and Tabachnick & Fidell (2007)
Number of groups: The group is divided into two groups: male and female UEH
students like using UEH Smart library
