 Students only attend class twice a week for a full-time schedule or once a week with a part-time schedule Classes are available in the daytime or evening as well as online

 Program received specialized accreditation by Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)

 Classes are small and will not exceed 25-30 students

BUSINESS PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is designed as a foundation for professional growth or

graduate education Students can learn more about the strength of our program by visiting our

Program Admission Requirements

An Associate of Business (ABUS) and AGEC completed at an Arizona community college guarantees

admission to the BBA program

Students without a posted ABUS must have the prerequisite courses completed prior to enrolling in the BBA courses Please use the chart below to assist you in determining program prerequisites and

equivalent courses

Program Admission Statuses

Full Admission: All BBA prerequisites have been completed

Conditional Admission: Students may be conditionally admitted to the program if they have completed at

least 8 of the 10 prerequisite courses, with both English classes and at least one of the mathematics courses (equivalent to MAT 119 or MAT 131) completed Conditional admission is valid only for the first semester of BBA coursework Students are not permitted to progress in the BBA coursework until proof of prerequisite completion has been submitted

Not Yet Eligible: More than 2 of the BBA prerequisites are in progress or not yet completed Students not

yet admitted to NAU will also receive a “Not Yet Eligible” letter

Updating Program Admission Status

If you are assigned “Not Yet Eligible” or “Conditional” status upon review of your program application; you

will need to submit unofficial transcripts to the advisement team each semester as you make progress

toward meeting the BBA program admission requirements

Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC)

The AGEC helps with university admission and satisfies NAU's Liberal Studies and Diversity Requirements The AGEC is embedded in the ABUS When you apply for graduation be sure to request that the ABUS and

AGEC are both awarded

Transferring to Flagstaff

This program is not offered on the main campus in Flagstaff This is an Extended Campus degree managed

by the NAU-Yuma branch campus Students wishing to transfer from a community college to Flagstaff should speak with a program advisor from the W.A Franke College of Business located in Flagstaff

Tuition Rates

NAU has one of the most affordable tuition rates in Arizona and the nation, and Extended Campus

BBA 300 PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY 3 Credits

The environment of organizations, planning, organizing, leading, and reviewing processes and systems, with emphasis on strategic planning, teamwork, and process design BAS, BAIS, and BSIS students may substitute BBA 290 and BBA 291 for ACC 255 These courses satisfy both the required and the recommended prerequisites for students in the BAS, BAIS, and BSIS Administration and the BAS Technology Management programs Letter grade only Prerequisite: BBA 290 and 291

BBA 305W EFFECTIVE BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS 3 Credits

Written and oral communication in organizations Emphasis on writing letters, memos, and reports; speaking and listening skills; nonverbal communication; communication theory; precise word usage; common

communication pitfalls; interpersonal communication and human relation skills; and cross-cultural

BBA 310 PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY 3 Credits

BBA 320 MANAGERIAL FINANCE 3 Credits

Survey of the major areas of financial operations in business and their relationship to other business functions; internal financial activities, sources of funds, and the firm's involvement with money and capital markets; basic techniques of financial analysis and their application to financial decision making; development of an

BBA 330 SUPPLY CHAIN & OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT 3 Credits

Covers management of operations, the activities utilized to produce the products and/or services sold by the firm Emphasizes process design and improvement, including the inter-firm processes that manage the twin flows of inventory and information between supply chain members Letter grade only Prerequisite: MAT 119, ACC 255 and ECO 201 Corequisite: BBA 300

BBA 340 MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS 3 Credits

BBA 380 MANAGEMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY 3 Credits
