Code of Ethics & Responsibilities

This Code of Ethics and Responsibilities established by previous Auburn University MBA students to outline expected behaviors and appropriate conduct for all Auburn University MBA/MSBA students The points listed below are not comprehensive However, they are presented as a guide in promoting an academic program and personal

behaviors with the highest levels of integrity, honesty and civility

■Students are expected to represent Auburn University, the Auburn MBA Program, and themselves in an honorable, mature, ethical and professional manner

■Whether careless or malicious plagiarism is unacceptable and may be grounds for dismissal from Auburn University This includes all work (e.g printed media, internet, etc.) that is not properly credited to the proper author(s) through appropriate and accurate citation

■Group work is group work and individual work is not group work Whether the assignment is to you as an individual or to

a group in which you are a member, it can never be shared with another student without the permission of the supervising professor

■Group projects require equal contribution and participation form all members Students will conduct themselves in a professional manner representative of conduct expected in a business environment Group members are expected to respect each other and maintain a professional and productive team dynamic Any questionable or inappropriate behavior is

expected to be reported to the MBA Honor Board

■Certain courses may require computer-based tests and/or exams All such examinations will be completed on an individual student basis

■Students are expected to report honor violations to the supervising professor, the MBA Program Office or the MBA Honor Board Honor violations include, but are not limited to and intentional act of cheating, lying or stealing as defined by the Auburn University Honor Code Identities for all parties will be protected with the utmost confidentiality when violations are reported

■All courses and class assignments will be completed on time and prepared and/or presented in a professional manner

■Students are expected to arrive at class on time, be well prepared and attend all classes unless excused by the supervising professor or due to extenuating circumstances In all cases an Official University Excuse may be required

■Students will respect property of Auburn University, the College of Business and the MBA/MSBA Programs This includes such items as computer, office equipment, classroom and audio-visual equipment

■This MBA/MSBA Code of Ethics and Responsibilities is an addendum to the policies and guidelines established in the Auburn University Tiger Cub Manual for Students MBA/MSBA Honor Code violations are always subject to University Honor Board jurisdiction and review

■ The (paper) MBA/MSBA Program Application for admission form (Additional information regarding the admissions process as well as the required undergraduate prerequisite course listings may be reviewed at www.auburnmba.org

■ Click “Apply Online” and complete the Graduate School E-Application as directed MBA applicants must select either

“Business Administration-On Campus” or Business Administration – Distance Option” Finance applications please

select MSBA-Finance Application fee: $50 U.S Citizens; $60 International Students Payment MUST be made in U.S

funds via credit card, check or money order Your application will not be processed until payment is received

Application Deadlines

This is the date an applicant’s file must be complete and available for the MBA Admissions Committee to review Incomplete and late applications will be considered for admission at a later date and on a space-available basis only

Two Required Essays (Suggested length: 1-2 double –spaced typed pages maximum for each question)

employment and include descriptions of duties and responsibilities); 2)Internships; 3) Educational institutions attended, dates of enrollment, major area(s) of study and degree(s) earned; 4) Awards, honors and recognitions received; 5) Significant college, community/volunteer, leadership, and professional activities in which you have participated

Three Recommendations We require three recommendation forms/letters in sealed envelopes with the writer’s signature

across the seal These should be mailed directly to MBA Admissions at the above address or delivered by the applicant to the MBA office (Blank form with this application may be photocopied)

Interview and Orientation: Applicants to the On-Campus Program will be notified and scheduled for a personal interview It

is an integral part of their application process Additionally, new on-campus students must attend and participate in the required MBA Orientation Program which is conducted prior to the start of fall semester classes There is an additional one-time fee of $395
