Complex Sentences

A sentence which contains one or more dependent

clauses in addition to its independent clause joined

by a subordinating conjunction (subordinator)

Types of dependent clauses in complex sentences

*Nominal clauses (noun clauses)

*Adjectival clauses (adjective/ relative clauses)
