UNSW undergraduate program changes 2012

UNSW places a high priority on flexibility and choice, allowing students to choose what best suits their interests and aspirations Our students can begin a large range of generalist and professionally accredited degrees straight from high school

New degrees and program revisions will be progressively introduced for students starting in

2012 The changes reflect a degree structure that gives students a clear path to their chosen career while providing breadth through our general education courses, electives and dual award degrees Opportunities for research, international experience, work-integrated learning and mentoring will also be enhanced

Diploma in Innovation Management

New Actuarial Studies programs in 2013

The Australian School of Business plans to introduce a suite of specialist programs in Actuarial Studies for students commencing their undergraduate studies at UNSW in 2013

These include:

– Bachelor of Actuarial Studies– Bachelor of Actuarial Studies (Co-op)– Bachelor of Actuarial Studies (Honours)– Bachelor of Actuarial Studies/Bachelor

of Science (Advanced Mathematics)The new programs are designed to ensure that our students gain both technical and non-technical skills to pursue the role of an actuarial analyst in a financial institution The programs may also include assistance with the construction

of a ‘portfolio’ of both technical and leadership capabilities to present to future employers

Completion of our Actuarial Studies programs

at satisfactory grades will qualify graduates exemption for Part I and/or Part II courses of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia

in Information Systems This three year degree

prepares you for careers in information and

communication technology (ICT), and provides

you with the essential skills and knowledge

to undertake 60 days of industrial experience

The Bachelor of Taxation has a flexible delivery mode which allows you to manage the other priorities in your life or juggle work with your study commitments Courses are offered through

a unique combination of face-to-face classes, intensive short course classes and flexible distance learning through audio conferences and webinars
