I Objectives.

After the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- Use the words and phrases related to the topic: Activities in free time.

- Develop Ss listening skill

II.Language focus.

1 Vocabulary: review: go shopping,go camping,surf the Internet

2 Sentence Patterns: review

+What do you do in your free time? - I

+ What does he/she do in his/her free time? –He/she

III Teaching aids.

- Equipments in English room

- Books, teachers’ book, notebooks, cards and cassette

IV Produres.

Good morning/ afternoon!

Who is absent today?

B Warm up.

- Ask some Ps to the front of the class to

sing the songWhat do you do in your free

time?and do actions.Have the rest of the

class clap along to the rhythm

C New lesson

1 Listen and repeat.

-Tell the class that they are going to practice

saying the questions and answers

- Explain that Wh-questions and answers

have fallng intonation

- Ask Ss to look at the book and listen

- Play the recording for Ss listen again

- Call some Ss to perform the activity in

fron of the class

- Others give comments - Give comments

- Correct mistakes of pronounciation

2 Listen and circle a or b Then say the

sentences loud.

- Sing the song and do actions

- Listen to teacher’s explaination

- Listen to the recording

- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to the

recording and circle a or b

- Play the recording for Students to listen

- Ask Ss to listen again and do the task

- Have them give answers

- Play the recording again for Ss to listen

and check

- Give correct answers:

- Ask Ss to say each sentence aloud

- Give comments

- Correct mistakes of pronounciation

3 Let’s chant What do you do?

-Tell to class that they are going to say the

chant What do you do?

- Play the recording all the way through for

Ss to listen and follow in their books

- Play the recording again, pausing after

each line for Ss to repeat

- Play the recording once more for Ss to

repeat the whole chant

- Listen and circle

- Give answers

- Listen and check

- Class/group/individual say aloud

- Look at the book and listen

- Listen and repeat

- Put the class into two groups to practise

chanting: one chants the questions and the

other chants the answers

- Have them practise chanting and doing

actions in groups

- Invite two or three groups to say the chant

and do actions

- Give feedback

- Ask the class to listen again and chant

- Chant in groups
