I Objectives

After the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- Use the words and phrases related to the topic: Activities in free time

- Listen to the recording and circle a or b

- Develop Ss listening and writing skills

II.Language focus.

1 Vocabulary: review: football,surf,homework,skate,garden,karate.

2 Sentence Patterns: review

+ What do you do in your free time? - I

+ What does he/she do in his/her free time? –He/she

III Teaching aids.

- Equipments in English room

- Books, teachers’ book, notebooks, cards and cassette

IV Produres.

Good morning/ afternoon!

Who is absent today?

B.Warm up.

- Play a game: Sleep and wake up

- Using the words:

garden / shopping/skate/swim

C New lesson.

4 Listen and circle a or b.

- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to the

recording and circle a or b

- Play the recording for Ss to listen

- Ask Students to listen again and do the

task

- Ask Students to give answers

- Play the recording again for Ss to listen

and check

- Give correct answers:

- Listen again and circle

5 Write about you.

- Tell the class that they are going to write

about themselves: what their family

members do in their free time

- Have them answer the questions and check

their understanding

- Set a time limit for Ss to do the task

independently

- Monitor the activity and offer help,if

necessary

- Call some Ss to read aloud their writing

- Ask others to give feedback

6 Let’s sing.

-Ask Ss to open their Student’s book on

page 7 Show the song on the board Tell

them that they are going to sing the What

- Play the recording all the way through for

Ss to get familiarized with the

pronunciation, the stress, the rhythm and the

intonation of the song

- Read aloud
