The design parameters of three phase squirrel cage induction motors can be divided
into three main groups: the first one are basic parameters such as length of the core and an
outer and inner diameter of stator iron core; the second group are the parameters of stator
winding wire such as the number and diameter of winding wire; the third one are the dimensions
of stator and rotor such as stator and rotor's slot height, slot breadth and tooth breadth
These parameters are interdependent, varying from min value to max value for the
designer's choice which has great effect on different copper and iron loss Therefore, it is
necessary to select the most appropriate parameters so that copper and iron loss get min value
This article presents the algorithms and program of optimum design of three-phase squirrel
cage induction motor based on efficience maximization with artificial neural networks
