This paper publish the program lo generated the ultimate longitudinal strength of steel ship under vertical bending moment according to Smith method for applied to structural optimization The reliability of this program demontraled by comparison the result with many experiment models which published on the world The program applied to calculate the ultimate longitudinal strength, in structural optimum problem, of bulk carrier 2000 DWT was built at Nha Trang Shipyard Keywords: ultimate longitudinal strength, vertical bending moment Smith method
