This paper presents a newly developed welding machine that can automatically detect the weld in
a plane using micro processor and PID controller The experimental welding result shows that the robot has accrately detected the welding curve and the welding process gave good weld with minor defects, that can be improved by optimizing the welding parameters This result gives a wide range of automated
weld-ing robot application into the industry
