ABSTRACT
The collecting electrodes plate (CE) of Electrostatic Precipitator ( ESP) systems of newly
built cement plants and thermal power plants in Vietnam have been imported mainly from abroad
during recent years Some domestic mechanical manufaturers have been investing fabricating
apparatus in order to fabricate collecting electrodes for replacement and repair service but the
quality of these products have not been qualified enough compared to the original products due to
the fact of inappropriate fabricating process and technology
In the content of this paper we present an efficient solution to correct the inaccuracy in
positioning control which is being applied in the profile punching section of the roll forming machine
that produces plates CE This solution is one of the measures to improve the fabricating technology,
simplify the manufacturing apparatus, enhance the productivity and product's quality as well as
product s stability The actual products have passed strictly technical test of experts from Misubishi
Heavy Industries Mechatronics systems company, a specialised contractor for ESP in Japan
The collecting electrode plates produced in local is resulting in the increasing ratio of
localisation of ESP systems for thermal power plant
