II Cấu trúc và cách dùng Must trong tiếng Anh

- ust c nghĩ là phải dùng diễn tả t u cầu ắt u c.

Ex䕠 I haven’t got mu h time We must hurry (T i kh ng ó nhiều th i gian li ng ta ph i

nhanh l n.)

- ust: chắc hẳn là diễn tả sự chắc chắn củ t nhận ịnh.

Ex䕠 You have worked hard all day You must be tired (Bạn làm việ ngày N n bạn mệt rồi.)

L u ý:

- must not viết tắt là mustn’t

- must not diễn t sự m o n, kh ng ợ phép làm, nghi m trọng hơn annot nhiều

ustn’t + V r infinitiv = Don’t + V r infinitiv

Ex䕠

You mustn’t wear shoes in your house

= on’t wear shoes in your house.

Bạn kh ng ợ mang giày vào nhà (lệnh m)

You must not swim in that lake It's full of ro odiles

= on’t swim in that river

III Cấu trúc và Cách dùng H v to trong tiếng Anh

Cấu trúc:

(+) Th khẳng ịnh (Affirmative form)

S + have to/has to + infinitive +

Ex䕠

I have to lean the house this week (T i ph i dọn dẹp nhà ửa trong tuần này.)

She has to wash my lothes ( y ph i giặt quần o ủa mình.)

(-) Th phủ ịnh (Negative form)

S + don’t/doesn’t have to + infinitive +

needn't + V Trong tr ng hợp này, needn't hoạt ộng nh một modal verb và kh ng ần

hia theo hủ ngữ

IV Cách phân i t MUST và HAVE TO ơn giản

+ MUST c dịch là “phải” diễn tả t sự ắt u c ho c t nh

Ví dụ䕠 You must go to s hool at 7.00 am

+ MUST c sử d ng ể ết luận t i u ơng nhi n chủ qu n th o ý nghĩ củ ng ời n i cho r ng n phải nh vậ

Ví dụ䕠 She looks so sad She must be punished by her tea her

+ HAVE TO diễn tả nghĩ “phải” do xuất phát t chủ qu n ng ời n i.

Ví dụ䕠 I have to brush my teeth twi e a day

+ MUST chỉ dùng c cho th hi n t i ho c t ơng l i nh ng nếu u n

diễn tả ý nghĩ “phải” trong quá hứ t phải sử d ng HAVE TO.

Ví dụ䕠 I had to go to the dentist yesterday.

Tuy vậy, i với âu phủ ịnh, MUST và AVE TO mang ý nghĩa hoàn toàn kh nhau䕠

Ví dụ䕠 You mustn't drive You are prohibited to drive You are not allowed to drive

+ “DON'T HAVE TO” diễn tả t vi c h ng cần thiết/ h ng ắt u c.
