So far, underground constructions with large cross
section have been built in many countries on the world
for different purposes such as hydroelectric powers,
transports, underground mines However, research
results and knowledge on stress and deformation in rock
masses surrounding tunnels having large cross section
when changing the initial stress factor have been limited
This paper provides some initial research results in this
field basing on numerical method and predicts rock
pressure for designation tunnels
