educational Objectives
This year’s intimate two-day international workshop will focus on
the “State of the Art” in management and scientific investigation of
vascular anomalies of the head and neck New and experienced
contributors from all over the world will convene to explore novel
treatments, interdisciplinary tools and surgical approaches to
common and difficult cases New information will be presented by
invited leaders of the field and augmented by podium presentations
of related and accepted abstracts.
The symposium will dedicate time to each of the primary clinical
parameters involved in the treatment of vascular anomalies: Laser
therapy, interventional techniques, surgical management, and
pharmacotherapy Complications and billing issues will also be
addressed Translational and Basic Science will be covered by
one-quarter of the meeting
The conference is designed to address sophisticated clinical
questions and science in an open forum of individuals involved in
hemangiomas and vascular malformations with the aim to identify
future research and therapeutic directions.
Call for abstracts
Abstract shall be less than 250 words with a specific focus on
diagnosis, management and scientific investigation of vascular
anomalies of the head and neck Abstract format shall contain the
following sections - Objective: indicating the purposes of the study,
Methods: describing material/patients and methods used, Results:
organized description of critical results from study and, Conclusions:
a statement outlining the importance of the study findings Abstracts
must be submitted via e-mail at va.symposium.abstract@gmail.com

later than December 20th, 2012 After review of the abstracts by
the scientific committee, the presenter will be informed regarding
their acceptance for oral or poster presentation.
