The objective of Travelers EDGE is to increase the number of underrepresented individuals who complete a bachelors degree and are prepared for a career at Travelers or within the Insurance and Financial Services industry In 2019, Travelers dedicated more than $2.75 million to Travelers EDGE through the grants highlighted below and additional support.
In 2012, Travelers launched the Small Business Risk Education program (SBRE), in the Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley area of California By the end of 2019, the SBRE program reached more than 2,331 small business participants in multiple locations across the country SBRE provides insurance literacy and safety risk management education to minority- and women-owned small businesses The program includes workshops, one-on-one assistance focused on safety risk management, and business continuity planning
