Powerful Women, Powerful

Narratives: Stories of Courage and

Change for Women on the Rise!

[Closing Keynote]

Storytelling has been with us since the

be-ginning of time, used as a way to convey

language, culture, values, and other

hu-man emotions and circumstances Each of

us owns our stories; no one else has had

our lived experiences and no one else can

tell them for us And although we can’t

predict the circumstances we find

our-selves in, we have agency over how we

interpret those experiences for ourselves

and others A tragedy, a blessing, a story

of redemption, forgiveness, revenge,

fail-ure, or a success—no matter what our

sto-ry, we are its narrator We can learn how to

create powerful narratives of authenticity

and power to assist ourselves and each

other to seek and achieve leadership in

our respective professional spheres
