The following positions in both teaching and administrative offices are available for the 2020-2021 academic year
Anatolia offers six fellowships for the 2020-2021 academic year in teaching, education administration, and
student life All fellows will actively support their respective departments through meaningful projects and
responsibilities, and have the opportunity to develop their professional skills and career interest in education
Founded by American missionaries in 1886, Anatolia College has always served as an important educational bridge between the U.S and Greece, seeking to convey American liberal educational values with Greek traditions of
pedagogy and learning Anatolia today serves nearly 2,000 Greek and Balkan students in grades K-12
Teaching Positions
Elementary English Fellowship Position
The fellow will assist teachers in the elementary school with planning and implementing English lessons
Working alongside the supervising teacher(s), the fellow plans storytelling, games, read-aloud activities, and
other creative projects that keep the children engaged, while fostering their speaking and
English-literacy development The fellow will also work with students individually and assist with after-school activities (athletic coaching) The fellow will develop their teaching skills in a supportive and open educational
environment
Lab and Research Assistant Fellowship Position
The Fellow’s primary responsibility will be to provide support to the IB Diploma teachers and the American
College of Thessaloniki professors in preparing lab investigations, assisting with experimentation, and working with students individually through tutoring and mentoring The fellow could be asked to assist in faculty
research as needs arise The fellow will develop their teaching and laboratory skills while working with
supportive faculty
Qualifications: Teaching experience, contact with young learners (ages 6-12)
The ideal candidate will be flexible and collaborative, with strong communication and multi-tasking
skills
Qualifications: Teaching, laboratory, and/or research experience
The ideal candidate will be reliable and take initiative, with strong critical thinking and classroom
management skills
Office Positions
Resident Assistant/Admin Fellowship Position
The Fellow’s responsibilities include the supervision of students and duty hours in the Boarding Department
Office The fellow is required to be on duty in the evenings and on weekends and will also advise one of the
extra-curricular school clubs
Qualifications: Residence life experience, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, experience working with diverse socioeconomic students
The ideal candidate will be reliable and flexible, with strong communication skills
Trang 2US College Counseling Fellowship Position
The Fellow's responsibilities will include assisting the college counselors, working with students in the
college application process, planning and presenting at workshops, classes, and special events, and
processing office data The fellow will explore the dynamic world of college counseling and international admissions through one-on-one interaction with students, college admission representatives, and the
counselors The fellow will contribute significantly to the summer program preparation and application process
Student Services Fellowship Position
The Fellow’s responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of major school events and activities (theater productions, conferences, MUN), writing for various school publications, and assisting the advisers
of English speaking clubs The fellow will gain experience with event planning, collaboration, and student life in a fast-paced office
Qualifications: Admissions office experience, editing experience preferred
The ideal candidate will excel at advising and editing, with strong writing and critical thinking skills
Qualifications: Excellent writing and editing skills required Event planning experience preferred
The ideal candidate will be excellent at multi-tasking and collaborating with students, faculty, and staff

All fellows are provided housing on our beautiful 50+
acre campus on a hillside above Thessaloniki
Fellowships include full room and board, plus up to
1000 Euros for one round trip air economy ticket
to/from Thessaloniki, and a monthly stipend of €400
The Anatolia campus is also the home of the
American College of Thessaloniki, a four-year
NEASC-accredited university-level division where Fellows can
audit both undergraduate and graduate courses (one
tuition-free each semester)

School Counseling Fellowship Position
The Fellow’s responsibilities will include: designing and conducting workshops on mental health issues; creating a resource library on mental health; designing framework to adapt US model of student services to a Greek educational setting; developing activities to be used by faculty The Fellow will also conduct meetings with students in the IB to provide support in developing skills The fellow will work alongside experienced counselors and graduate students
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or Special Education Experience in working at student support offices (wellness centers) is required
The ideal candidate works independently and takes initiative, with strong research and advising skills
