FOR RELEASE SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

The climax of Montana State University’s Homecoming weekend Sept 30 and

Oct 1 and 2, will be the traditional gridiron battle between the Grizzlies and

the University of Idaho Vandals for possession of the Little Brown Stein, slated

at 1:30 p m Saturday, Oct 1, on Dornblaser Field.

Advance registrations for the three-day celebration are coming in at a brisk

pace from alumni and other Grizzly boosters, according to alumni chairman Charles

Johnson, Missoula, and student chairmen Marlys Nelson, Spokane, and Jack Griffith,

Missoula Registrations will also be accepted Friday and Saturday of Homecoming

weekend at various campus stations, they noted.

The Silver Anniversary dinner for returning members of the class of 1935;

set for 5^30 P- m* at the Florence Hotel, will be a feature of a Friday schedule

that includes the coronation of the Homecoming Queen at a singing-on-the-steps at

7:30 p m , a Law School smoker at 8 p m and an Alumni Roundup program in the

University Theater at 8:30 p m A pregame warm-up is scheduled for 8:30 p m

at the Missoula Elks Club.

The festivities will continue Saturday, with the Homecoming parade at 9»30

a m and the game at 1:30 p m highlighting the d a y ’s events Saturday’s pro­

gram also includes two special events for the class of 1910 - a wakeup breakfast

at the Florence Hotel at 8 a m and the Golden Anniversary dinner at the Lodge

at 6:30 p m.

Also scheduled for Saturday are an alumni-faculty luncheon at 11:30 a m.

and open house at sororities, fraternities and residence halls at 4:30 p m A

quarterbacks breakfast at 9 a « m Sunday at the Florence Hotel will wind up
