Development in the Trulaske College of Business and Senior Director of Development in the College of Engineering The University seeks experienced advancement professionals

a ground breaking campaign, and will be called upon to further its constituent relations and fundraising efforts
THE UNIVERSITY

LEADERSHIP
Dr R Bowen Loftin began as the 22nd chancellor of the University of Missouri–Columbia on February 1, 2014 Known for his stylish
bowties and engaging persona, he is an accomplished physics academic and researcher Loftin earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Texas A&M in 1970, a master’s degree in physics in 1973, and a doctorate in physics in 1975, both from Rice University He is a frequent consultant to industry and government in the areas of modeling and simulation, advanced training technologies and scientific/engineering data visualization He is the author or co-author of more than 100
technical publications Among other priorities, two immediately impacting advancement include filling the currently-open Provost position and executing at a high level during the quiet phase of the current comprehensive capital campaign
TEACHING AND RESEARCH
The University is on an impressive growth curve with enrollment up over 30% in the last

COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
Dating back to 1849, and established as the first engineering school west of the Mississippi River, Mizzou’s College of Engineering has a long and proud history Under the leadership of Dean James E Thompson, the College of Engineering has experienced considerable growth in recent years The College now encompasses a total student population of 3,500 and offers degrees and minors in eleven disciplines
The College features numerous research centers, programs, groups and facilities that engage students of all levels From bioengineering to computer science to nuclear engineering, the College is blessed with a full menu of academic and research options The University houses the largest academic-based nuclear research reactor in existence
In addition, the College offers significant study-abroad opportunities and features an unusually high number (40) of extracurricular student organizations and opportunities Competing against the brightest and the best, Mizzou students just placed second in the urban concept hydrogen fuel cell category at the The 2014 Shell Eco-marathon in Houston, Texas

The successful candidates for these two positions will be persons with a distinguished record of personal engagement and achievement in advanced annual giving, major/principal gifts and/or campaigns Three to five years of progressively responsible and successful fundraising
