CHECK-IN AT CAMP
Date: 7/9/2018
Time: 8:00 AM [Overnight Camp Check-In]

Camp starts promptly at 9:30 a.m Be prepared
to start with skill evaluations after orientation
Overnight campers should be settled into their
rooms, wearing appropriate athletic clothing,
and equipment to include your stick and
mouth guard Have goggles or pads/helmets
ready and accessible
DAY CAMP HOURS
Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
PARENT ORIENTATION – ALL PARENTS
Time: 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Location: Tingelstad Hall, 1 st floor lounge
Although Parent Orientation is highly
encouraged, your attendance is not required
During the Parent Orientation, camp directors
will cover important camp information, review
the camp schedule, provide emergency contacts
and answer any questions
DROP OFF + PICK UP AT CAMP
Safety is our number one priority You may
have anyone drop off your camper In order
for a child to be picked up by someone other
than the parent or guardian, a phone call to the
camp director and a written note is required to
release your camper This includes driving
home with another camper
GETTING TO CAMP
Address: 12180 Park Ave S, Tacoma, WA Check-in: Tingelstad Hall (see attached map)
The most direct exit is the Parkland-Spanaway exit off of Highway 512 Turn right (south) on Pacific Avenue S Turn right on 122nd Turn left on Park Ave and take the next right on 125th Take a right at the stop sign The road will wind to the left and parking is located on the left near the tennis courts You will see
signs for Tingelstad Hall and camp check-in LAST DAY OF CAMP
Date: 7/12/2018
Camp ends at 5:00 p.m on Thursday, followed
by overnight camper check-out We are unable
to accommodate early dismissal on the last day unless otherwise arranged with the camp director
Parents are invited to spend the final afternoon having lunch at camp, watching the closing tournaments and games Please join us for any or all of these activities Schedule is listed below
Parent Lunch: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Location: Cafeteria
Lunch ranges in price from $10-$12 for parents
Tournaments + Games: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM Closing Program Time: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Location: Turf Field
Roommates are assigned prior to the first day
of camp All roommate requests should be noted during registration If you forgot to note
a roommate, a roommate can be added by logging into your registration and adding a roommate’s name All requests must be placed
by Monday, July 2nd We will do our best to accommodate roommate requests but they are not guaranteed Campers will be placed with age appropriate roommates

CAMP STORE
Time: 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Recommended: $75-$100 [food + swag]
Types of items sold: Snacks, sweatshirts,
sweatpants, bro-tank, shorts, socks, etc
The camp bank is located near the check-in
tables at camp on the first day Parents can
give money to the camp bank under their
camper’s name so that their camper may
purchase merchandise or snacks from the
camp store The camp bank takes cash or
check On the last night, we offer slices of pizza
and pop for purchase On the last day, unused
bank money will be returned to parents and
campers

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:
Athletic shoes + cleats
2 pairs of shoes – cleats and comfortable turf shoes
Warm-ups
Sweats you can easily pull on and off over your shoes
Athletic gear
Everything you need to wear for lacrosse
Lacrosse stick, mouth guard, and goggles or pads and helmet
Water bottle
Sleeping bag and pillow
Sheets are provided We recommend bringing a sleeping bag and pillow for comfort.
Fan
Rooms can be very hot This will help your room stay cool
Alarm clock
Coaches will wake up campers but it is a good idea to have your own clock in case you didn’t hear the wake-up call and to help you
be on time for events
Swimming suit (swimming is optional)
Yoga mat
Toiletries
Towel, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, etc.
Sun screen
Letter writing supplies
Pen, pencil, paper, envelope and stamp
Notebook
You may wish to record what you are learning
Note: Campers are expected to wear appropriate athletic
clothing No cut-off t-shirts or shorts; spaghetti strapped tanks and shirts must be worn over sports bras If we feel
a camper is not dressed like an athlete or per camp guidelines, we will request they change outfits
CHECK -OUT
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM Location: Tingelstad Hall
All overnight campers must check-out prior to departure Check-out includes gathering items from your residence hall room, returning keys and meal cards, collecting any remaining money at the camp bank and/or making any
last minute purchases at the camp store QUESTIONS

at (425) 785-7816 If no one answers, please leave a detailed message, make sure to include your campers first and last name We will call you back as soon as possible

The following items are prohibited Bringing
these items will result in immediate expulsion
from camp
− Tobacco products
− Alcohol
− Non-prescription drugs
Additionally, the following items are not
recommended to bring to camp:
− Electronic devices such as iPads, iPods,
Apple watches, video games, or TVs
− Expensive jewelry
− Other valuables
Cell phones may be used during evening hours
only and are to be kept in the dorm rooms
Food items such as gum or sticky candy are
not allowed
253 Lacrosse is not liable or responsible for
lost and/or stolen items at camp We advise all
campers to place valuables in the camp store
such as money and transportation tickets for
safe keeping for the duration of the camp
HEALTH + SAFETY
Parents will be contacted if an emergency
occurs If necessary, medical emergencies are
handled by local hospitals or clinics at the
parent’s expense Prescriptions drugs need to
be checked-in on the first day of camp and will
be administered by the medical professional
on staff
Drugs, alcoholic beverages and cigarettes are
strictly forbidden and constitute, along with
general misconduct, grounds for immediate
dismissal from camp without refund or credit
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel before June 25, 2018 you will receive a refund of all camp tuition payments made After June 25, if you have to cancel for any reason, you will receive 50 percent tuition reimbursement or a camp credit for 50
percent of registrations made, valid through
2019, for any 253 Lacrosse activities and transferable to an immediate family member only
