course begins with an introduction to Edwards’ theory and follows a process, step-by-step, specificallydesigned for individuals who have never drawn before or for those who want to improve upon theirdrawing skills Focus will be on Perceptual Skills that encompass contour line, positive/negative space,sighting relationships, Light/Shadow and the “Gestalt.” These skills are presented in an attentive and asupportive environment through lectures and drawing exercises

for teaching children ages 9–12 the perceptual skills needed to draw realistically This includes theperception of edge, space, angles, proportion, light, and shadow Through brief lectures and hands-onexercises, children move beyond symbolic images to drawing what their eyes see
