Guide to Program Cords, Medallions, Symbols

During our ceremony, students wear cords or medallions which represent their academic accomplishments Other academic accomplishments are noted next to students’

names in the program Below is a guide and description of what each represents

Medallions/Pins

A variety of programs offer a medallion or pin to honor students for completion of the entirety of a program or performance at a designated level throughout their tenure at PHS

Symbols

Valedictorian

Salutatorian

Honors Diploma

Students receive an honors diploma after submitting an application documenting that they have completed a rigorous course of required classes, maintained a high GPA, and are actively involved in school clubs and/or athletics.

National Honor Society Career/Technical Program Completer

A career and Technical Program Completer is a student who has completed a required set of courses in a specific program area such as: Automotive, Agriculture, Marketing, and/or Video Production

Mr Walker, for doing everything possible to help us through such a difficult time, and wanting us to

succeed.

and students.

Superintendent Brent Barry, for encouraging students to do their best and making sure everything runs

smoothly.
