Dr John M Buehler is the former Director of Choral Studies at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas and is now Professor Emeritus of Music He has served as a church choir director since 1970 and has been a featured presenter at local, regional and national levels of the Fellowship of United Miethodists in Music and Worship Arts He currently
is the conductor for the Cannon Beach Community Chorus and serves as the chair of the Oregon ACDA R & S Committee for community choruses
Dr Susan Buehler is Professor Emeritus of Music from Baker University where she was a member of the voice faculty She has served as an organist, pianist, soprano soloist, children’s choir director, and bell choir director and has conducted workshops in voice building and sacred vocal literature Currently, Dr
Buehler is the pianist for the Cannon Beach Community Chorus and the organist for Calvary Episcopal Church in Seaside and the Community Church in Cannon Beach She also maintains a voice and piano studio in her home
Dr Paul Klemme is Director of Music Ministries at Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem, where he serves as Organist and conducts multiple vocal and instrumental ensembles He oversees the very popular Evensong Concert Series, bringing nationally acclaimed musicians to Salem Additionally, Dr
Klemme is Conductor of the Willamette Master Chorus and serves as Adjunct faculty at Willamette University
Dr Charlotte Kroeker is executive director of Church Music Institute A frequent lecturer, performing pianist and church musician, she is the author of Music in Christian Worship (Liturgical Press, 2005) and The Sounds We Offer (Alban Press, 2011) She oversees programming and research for CMI
Dr Robert C Mann is Director of the Music Resource Library at the Church Music Institute and Professor Emeritus of Music at Stephen F Austin State University, where he taught organ, musicology and church music
He has served as organist/organist-choirmaster for over forty years, and as an organ recitalist for solo and duet literature Scholarly publications include articles on organ duet and Mendelssohn’s organ music; edited historical organ compositions are by Thayer and Merkel
A lifelong AGO member, Dr Mann has served elected positions, offers workshops/clinics, and has developed the CMI eLibrary
Bruce Neswick is Interim Canon for Cathedral Music, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Prior posts included Associate Professor of Organ at Indiana University and Director of Music at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, New York City, where he conducted the Choir of Girls, Boys and Adults Active
in the field of church music, Mr Neswick holds Fellowship degrees from the American Guild of Organists and the Royal School of Church Music He has been commissioned to compose for performers and churches throughout North America Mr Neswick’s skill at improvisation garnered him three first prizes from the 1989 San Anselmo Organ Festival; the 1990 American Guild of Organists' national convention in Boston; and the
1992 Rochette Concours at the Conservatoire de Musique in Geneva, Switzerland He is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University and Yale University, and his organ teachers have included David Dahl, Margaret Irwin-Brandon, Gerre Hancock, Robert Baker and Lionel Rogg As a recitalist, Mr Neswick has performed extensively throughout the United States and Europe including regional conventions of the American Guild
of Organists, and the national AGO conventions in Dallas (1994), Seattle (2000), Washington, DC (2010) and Boston (2014)
Dr Samuel Torvend is Chair of Lutheran Studies at Pacific Lutheran University He teaches courses in the history of early, medieval and reformation Christianity as well as historical courses on the reform of social welfare, Christian responses to local and global hunger, Christian art and architecture, and Christian rituals As the university professor of Lutheran Studies, he teaches courses and seminars on Martin Luther, the Lutheran Heritage, Women Reformers, Lutheran higher education, Lutheran art and music, and the Reformation In addition to his work in the academy, Dr Torvend also serves as a theological consultant to various regional and national church agencies and societies, and serves as Director of Vocational Reflection at the Center for Vocation and Director of the Center for Religion and Culture in the Pacific Northwest
