Dear Kennedy Students and Families,
It is with great pleasure that I share with you that the Stockton Unified School District Board of Education has appointed me as the new principal of Kennedy Elementary School
I come to Kennedy Elementary School with 25 years of experience as an educator I have 7 years of experience as
a principal, 10 years as a vice principal, 6 years as a classroom teacher for 6 years, and two years as a Teacher on Special Assignment
I know that your previous principal has been a great administrator and leader and his leave is a great loss to the Kennedy community Rest assured that my goal will be to continue building on what everyone has worked so hard to achieve, and to use that strong foundation to move Kennedy Elementary to the next level, whatever we decide together I am a huge proponent of collaboration, teamwork, and learning from each other Most importantly, making decisions on what is best for all students and having fun Together we will continue to provide outstanding educational opportunities and academic excellence for all of our students
On a personal note, my husband and l, currently live in Elk Grove with our two adult children My husband is also
an educator, working for a district in Merced as the Executive Director of Student Services Both of my children graduated from the California State University system in May 2019 Damien, my oldest, works for Sacramento County and my daughter, Lexi, is a physical therapist aid She is getting ready to apply for a doctorate program in Physical Therapy Some things I enjoy doing are hiking, collecting shot glasses, singing, going to the beach, and trying different ethnic foods
My goal is to ensure all students achieve their highest potential In order to reach that goal and be lifelong learners,
it takes a partnership of committed administrators, teachers, parents, support staff and students It is apparent in talking with others that this is a shared belief in the Kennedy Community I consider myself blessed to be part of the Stockton Unified School District so rich in diversity, culture, and values high standards by providing rich learning experiences for all students
I wish to express my appreciation to our Governing Board for placing their confidence in me by appointing me to assume leadership of an outstanding school I officially began my service at Kennedy Elementary on July 1, 2021, and look forward to the opportunity to meet and begin my relationship with you and your child/children I look forward to meeting you, building relationships and strong foundations to support all levels of need at Kennedy
